Britney & Elton John dropped their single today. It's a fun dance song and a very smart professional move for Britney. How ever she got there it's a very savvy re-entry to the business she swore not to work in until the conservatorship ended.

Any true Britney fan will understand what a huge moment this is for Britney. This isn't even just about a new song, it goes way deeper than that.
Whether you like her or not , she deserves this. I will apologize for offending anyone with my assh*ol* remark. However, bashing the crap out a celebrity or singer when she is already down is not fair. I like positive vibes for every human being alive online and in real life. I also am a Lover, not a Fighter. I am not out to get anyone here. Those 10 commandments are helpful in navigating life also. If you believe in God. I am a Christian but not a Bible thumper.
I know a few off the top of my head:
Thou shall not Judge
Honor thy Mother & Father
Respect your Elders
Thou shall not steal
Love many, trust few. Always paddle your own Canoe. I am aware that there are other religions out there. Different strokes for different folks.

Does she "deserve" this? She "deserves" some old man using her to stay relevant? She deserves to be used for income (& just think of Elton John's out of control spending he also has 2 kids to support & more is always welcome). She "deserves" to be used by an old man to reach a bigger target audience? Isn't that exactly what she has accused her family of doing? Using her??? If you cannot tell the difference between that and the toxicity that exists among a lot of her own fans, you are the one with the problem. You called us 'ASSHOLES', which is rather hypocritical for a 'Christian', don't you think? The 'Christian' veneer slipped and you showed an inability to understand the process of constructive criticism and also broke a number of those commandments, thou shall not judge/respect your elders, in your case- anybody over the age of thirteen. well that was something.
i heard the elton-britney single and it's cute i guess, and also sounds a bit lazy. but i also think it's a smart move for both of them. elton has a habit of singing about troubled blondes (candle in the wind/diana + marilyn) but this time the troubled blonde is in on it and cashing in. plus it will only do wonders for britney's already pretty elevated gay icon status.

WTFF?  Chatterweb you either you don't actually read the posts here or you are unable to comprehend what you are reading. We are fans of hers too. Not only as a pop star but as a human being. I hope this song revives her actual career to the point where she can continue to support herself (and her husband and dogs and kids) in the manner they are all accustomed to, and I hope she has enough people to help manage her wellbeing and behavior on a day to day basis so that she doesn't do anything to fuck it up. I hope the people profiting off her currently and in the future are at least decent enough that they will not be willing to do so at the expense of her health and wellbeing if she needs to step back and take a break from things from time to time. Chatter, if you're not getting what you need or want here and wanna do like Felicia and go bye bye no one is going to stop you. If you get a little crazier on your way out we might talk about you for 5 minutes longer before moving on like we have been for 17 years. But otherwise, best of luck. |
