'Reckless' Gwyneth Paltrow caused Utah ski crash,lawyer says

The retired optometrist suing Gwyneth Paltrow over a ski collision compared the actress to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein in a bizarre rant on the witness stand as the widely watched trial comes to an end.

''I guess like, what is going on here? This is obviously an issue that someone needs to be accountable for, and if they're never accountable, what are they gonna do? They're gonna do it again,' he began.

'Now we have the... molesting of young children on an island,' he said, making a reference to Epstein's infamous 'Pedophile Island' in the Caribbean where he trafficked and sexually abused dozens of girls.

A flabbergasted Paltrow looked over at her attorney who called Sanderson's testimony 'ridiculous.' The judge then told the jury to disregard Sanderson's words. Closing arguments from both sides are expected to be heard on Thursday.

I'm so sad this trial is coming to an end. It was very enjoyable.

i think the trial is tragic.

the attorneys suck and watching an old guy unravel on the witness stand is awful. i almost feel bad for him. he will not live this down. and goopy will be even more smug. if that's even possible.

and that's with a crappy defense team ....

he really had no case and he might have been even less sympathetic than goopy, which i didn't think was possible.

I can't say I'm surprised.

Hard case to prove. Plus, I really felt that her team would have pushed her to settle out of court if the plaintiff had even a whiff of a case. PR folks don't like their celebs on the stand.

The gross and obvious star struck lawyers were kind of a clue, too.

i am surprised that her lawyers were so weak. i can see that her PR team would've advised her not to get slick LA attorneys, but i've seen small-town attorneys that perform better than her team. and his fatty attorney with emphysema (or whatever resp issues he had) was positively gross.
