Ok, I can't help but roll my eyes at the idea someone was planning to sexually assault her on a very public ski slope in broad daylight. Was that honestly her first thought? Or, was it a useful ploy to garner sympathy because she is also know for experiencing sexual harassment from Weinstein?

This whole case is very weird. I can totally see Gwyneth causing an accident and not caring at all because she's just above everyone else. Everyone should know to defer to her everywhere she goes.

The initial million-dollar suit made me side-eye his claim, but now with this visual really drives home how ridiculous her own claim of his skis "appearing between her legs" would be. Seems like a really unlikely detail she made up.  I far more believe she was looking at her kids and not paying attention in front of her.

Both parties are dodgy as hell and I don’t fully believe either. I did read she was distributing “treats” to all trial attendees (no word if it was vagina scented candles or kale chips) and that sounds kind of illegal.

Yeah I agree this is dodgy to me. Even if she hit him, don't accidents happen? He'd have to prove some kind of gross negligence, no? Like she was shitfaced and acting reckless? She was looking at her kids? Again, how one would notice that in the seconds it took for this to happen is suss to me but if true, she should be sued?

I know everyone loves to hate Gwinnie but I would think if she hit him, her people would have tried to quietly settle this as a nuisance suit. It makes no sense to me that she would take it this far over what amounts to pennies for her. Because you know they'd negotiate that shit down to under 300K.

There are claims that she hit him, fell on to him and broke his ribs. Then she left him laid out on the snow & skied off.

She admitted that she did not remember asking if Sanderson was okay and left ski instructor Eric Christiansen to 'handle' the situation for her - continuing down the slope to meet daughter Apple at the bottom.

Paltrow also attempted to deny she had been watching son Moses ski at the time of the crash but was tripped up by testimony from her son's instructor Kari Oaks.

She said: 'I can still watch my children ski and be skied directly into my back by someone and that's what happened.

'My daughter was down the hill and my son was to my left, I was skiing and my eyes were not just on Moses

She flatly denied that she was involved in a 'hit and run' on the day of the crash and replied 'absolutely not' when asked if she had asked Christiansen to falsify a report of the incident on her behalf.

Paltrow said she had stayed on the mountain for a while after the collision, saying: 'I did indeed'.

The actress told court she had been left hurt by the crash, saying her right knee felt overstretched, and she sought a massage to help alleviate the pain.

Yes, minus hefty legal fees. Hardly seems worth it for a retired doctor who is probably quite well off himself.

That depends on whether she was willing to accept even a sliver of responsibility for what happened, which doesn't seem to be the Goop way.

Judge in Gwyneth Paltrow's ski-slope crash trial bans her team from bringing in 'TREATS' for court bailiffs as she prepares to testify TODAY

A judge has declined an offer from Gwyneth Paltrow's legal team to 'bring in treats' for courtroom security at her trial in Utah.
Before proceedings started in the Park City court on Thursday, attorney Steve Owens asked the judge whether Paltrow's team could bring treats for the bailiffs to thank them for their service.

'Private security for my client wanted to bring in treats for the bailiffs for how helpful they've been,' Owens said. 'So, I wanted to do that transparently and see if there are any objections.'

Sanderson's attorneys then objected, arguing that the defence did not fill them in before raising the request to the judge.

'OK, there's an objection so thank you, but no thank you,' the judge ordered. 'If the parties decide to do that later, that's fine, too.'

It is unclear what treats her team would have offered.
