Again, Reality Winner was sentenced to 63 months in prison for ONE document. How many documents are in those boxes? Also, what she had revealed was that Russians in 2016 had spearfished numerous election officials across the US and had obtained copies of US voter rolls. Not saying she should not have been prosecuted but you could argue that the severity of the sentence reflect embarrassing the admin that was in power when she revealed it.

Donald Trump uses his legal woes to plead for money from supporters – again Following his indictment, Trump asked supporters to ‘make a contribution to peacefully defend our movement from the neverending witch hunts’ Trump indictment unsealed, revealing ex-US president faces 37 criminal charges – follow live Mary Yang in Washington Sat 10 Jun 2023 11.00 BST Federally indicted Donald Trump, newly charged with multiple counts over his mishandling of classified documents, is using his legal woes to plead for money – again. This image, contained in the indictment against former President Donald Trump, shows boxes of records being stored on the stage in the White and Gold Ballroom at Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Fla. Trump is facing 37 felony charges related to the mishandling of classified documents according to an indictment unsealed Friday, June 9, 2023. (Justice Department via AP) Indictment charging Trump with mishandling classified documents unsealed Read more The sweeping 37-count felony indictment paints a damaging portrait of Trump’s treatment of sensitive documents, accusing him of defying justice department demands to return papers he had taken to his Florida home of Mar-a-Lago, and even storing some of them in a shower. But the indictment’s existence did not stop the Trump campaign pleading for money on the back of it. In a series of messages on Thursday night and Friday morning, Trump appealed to his supporters by declaring the indictment an attack by “the Deep State” on the “forgotten, hardworking men and women of this country”, and asking them to donate to his campaign. “Please make a contribution to peacefully DEFEND our movement from the never-ending witch hunts – and together, even during these darkest of times, we will prove that our movement is truly UNBREAKABLE,” said in one email Trump sent to supporters on Friday morning. The barrage of requests mirrors Trump’s fundraising strategy following his first indictment at the end of March, when a Manhattan court charged the former US president with falsifying business records over hush money payments to adult film actress Stormy Daniels in 2016. Trump, who is set to appear in a federal court in Miami on Tuesday, has maintained he is an “innocent man” though he could face prison if convicted. While the indictment is currently sealed, the seven counts against Trump include violating the Espionage Act and conspiracy to obstruct justice, according to multiple reports. “Joe Biden’s Department of Justice has INDICTED me even though I did NOTHING wrong,” said another Friday morning email. The email ended with links asking supporters for donations of varying amounts, from $25 to $250, pooled by the Trump Save America Joint Fundraising Committee, the main fundraising arm of the ex-president’s 2024 campaign. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2023/jun/10/trump-indictment-supporter-fundraising-strategy-donation-money

DeSantis saying that they’re passive about Hillary…they investigated her for YEARS. And found nothing. DeSantis is now saying that if he's the president he'll fire the head of the FBI. He's pushing hard to scoop up the MAGA crowd from under Trump's nose. However I think that the one everyone needs to keep a closer eye on is Pence. He's sitting quietly, letting Trump and DeSantis bitchslap each other and letting the indictments take their course, and when the time is right he's going to stand up and market himself (and Mother) as the only sane choice for the more moderate Republicans and the guy who wasn't taking potshots at their idol to the MAGAs.

Pence better have a better strategy than counting on the MAGAs. They hate him. He might gain some transaction with old school republicans who held their nose and voted for Trump but I don't see any other faction that would rally around that wooden alien and his mother.
But what do I know. My country has gone mad.

But what do I know. My country has gone mad. Pence will rely on being the only one who isn't a walking, talking, very obvious shit show. A few of the slightly less fanatical MAGA may well drift his way if DeSantis keeps attacking Trump because they'll want a Republican in office more than a Democrat, so long as that Republican isn't DeSantis. You aren't wrong about how crazy things are getting though. I was browsing r/White People Twitter and some of the screengrabs being posted are insane.

History lessons in schools for decades/centuries taught about Benedict Arnold, traitor of America. Jesus Christ, he's nothing compared to these thugs that follow the greatest traitor of all. Un-ffing-believable.

All of these divided loyalties could work in the dem’s favor (provided we all go vote) because rump supporters won’t vote for rhonda santis or “traitor pence”, santis supporters wont vote for rump, etc.
