I haven't cared for him since Conan got bumped off the Tonight Show in 2009. That whole business was damn suspicious to me. YESSS. I always thought he was lame and boring, never cared for his brand of comedy, but then he was directly involved in the way NBC did Conan dirty. Even if he was just a pawn for NBC trying to panic-reneg on a deal, it was clear he only cares about himself. I think of him as soulless as NBC. He's just a fat cat who got lucky and stopped trying once he landed the Tonight Show, and it definitely showed. So I care very little about his horrific accident largely due to his poor decisions.

I've been 4 days this week. Wanted to go last night AND today. But my damned foot is hurting because I think I overdid it this week running. I have a slightly dropping arch in my left foot. I wear good shoes and do preventative exercises to keep it from getting worse, so it hasn't bothered me much to the point I forget about it. But after being back walk/jog/running and recently getting back to being able to do 3.5 miles (and doing it 4 days this week) I realized I probably need something extra in my shoes. <eyeroll> My left foot is killing me since late yesterday afternoon and I've been on such a roll I'm thoroughly pissed I couldn't run last night and probably don't need to today either. But I realize I need to give it a break until it's not hurting. that's amazing MsDark! running absolutely improves my mood, and i get so frustrated when i can't do it for whatever reason. the weird thing is i can run and feel great, no trouble at all, but my legs tend to hurt when i'm resting at night.

The key is to listen to your body. Back off and do a lighter activity for a week, so that you are not in a situation where it will take months to recover. Old people like me get mysterious pains right out of the blue. Nothing serious, but not worth aggravating them either.

I read recently that if you can't run for whatever reason but want to do something similar (and you have a gym membership), you can walk on the treadmill at an incline. While it isn't a full-body workout, you still get your heart rate up, burn a lot of calories and improve the cardiovascular health. My husband is doing that right now as his knees hurt when running at the moment.
