Whoa, that's a big one for a lot of the veteran rockers and folkies. Jeff Beck and now Crosby. He sure knew about music.

This is a part of my younger years, their harmonies were nothing short of amazing. I was a BIG Neil Young fan back then, but honestly CSN didn't need him, they were great on their own. Neil was a nice touch though and I was lucky to see them all together in concert around the 4 Way Street album.
I have all of Neil's albums from back then and CSN together and solo. (The one I'm remembering now is Graham Nash's Songs for Beginners. I might have to fire up the old turntable)
Crosby was probably my least favorite, no disrespect but I don't remember too many songs he wrote or sang lead, but Wooden Ships I loved loved. He wrote it with Paul Kantner of Jefferson Airplane so both bands sang it but CSN version was best. He also did some cool things with the Byrds. By the time he went to CSN He looked like an old hippie, unrecognizable to his Byrds look.
Sad that he had a falling out with Neil Young over things he said about Daryl Hannah and Neil leaving his wife for her, but I can't disagree with what he said. It kinda soured me on Neil too. He also fell out with Graham Nash for whatever reason so it's a shame he didn't speak to them for several years. I think he might have still been friendly with Stills. RIP David. You had a good run, especially with that liver transplant and all.

Damn, my past is disappearing. Hard to believe the 70s were 50 years ago, but here we are. I'm going to be crushed when Ringo and Paul go, they're in their 80's now.
