Yeah -- no idea he was 78. Their all turning this age. Jimmy Page was 79 over a week ago. I think Jeff got lost in our GR deaths right before Lisa Marie. Reminds me of when dear Farrah Fawcett died the same day as Michael Jackson. Just to add that Jeff had a unique way of playing the electric guitar and could probably take any song and play it to sound like there was a singer accompanying him. Bacterial menengitis? I read about it and I'm still stunned how fast it took over. They say he wasn't the inspiration for Nigel Tufnel in Spinal Tap except for the hairstyle. He said when he went to see it in the movies he was howling with laughter and the "turn it up to 11" made him laugh so hard that the audience was telling him to shut up. "This is tragic news..
