i finished watching it, well most of it anyway, i had it on in the background and would tune in when it sounded like it was getting interesting, which wasn't often. it really should have been 3 episodes at most, and even that was stretching it. the racism, the royal family closing ranks against the outsider and not hesitating to throw h&m to the wolves to save the institution, none of that is a surprise. samantha's daughter was pretty much the only surprise, that and harry explicitly blaming william and charles for a lot of what happened. but overall it was boring. and yes, they're clearly in love but also self-absorbed and kind of obnoxious and she's definitely into presenting a very curated version of themselves that makes her seem fake and, like i've said before, like a very specific type of american woman that's all about the perfect wedding, and family photos, and giving off the perfect family image. and the whole calling harry 'my love', wtf? i guess they have to sell the h&m brand but still. I totally agree. I was surprised by Samantha’s daughter and I some of the stuff with William. Meghan reminds me of a typical Instagram wifey type. They are definitely in love, but Harry seems sort of sad and lost to me. I hate the whole calling him “H”. Hardly a nickname that seems natural at all.
