“Harry Potter” star Robbie Coltrane has died, according to The Wrap. He was 72.

A source confirmed to the outlet on Friday that the actor, known best for his role as Rubeus Hagrid, had passed away.

A cause of death is not yet known.

I don't know, I don't think so anyway. He was supportive of her after she got death threats etc on Twitter.

"I don't think what she said was offensive really," Coltrane said during an interview with the Radio Times. "I don't know why, but there's a whole Twitter generation of people who hang around waiting to be offended. They wouldn't have won the war, would they?"

He added: "That's me talking like a grumpy old man, but you just think: 'Oh, get over yourself. Wise up, stand up straight, and carry on.'"

Coltrane then continued to say he did not want to speak on the issue any further "because of all the hate mail and all that s--- which I don't need at my time of life."

My flatmate and I watched Cracker obsessively during my university years - he was brilliant in it. He had a talent and a personality to match his stature.

I LOVE "Nuns on the Run"! Him & Eric Idle were hilarious! My favorite part was when Idle was showing him how to cross himself & trying to explain the trinity.
