Lisa Rinna is catching heat for some controversial comments she made on the 'RHOBH' finale -- her take on cancer is pissing off folks who research the disease.

Here's the deal ... during the finale, Lisa justified sharing secrets Kathy Hilton told her by claiming she would "get sick and get cancer" if she didn't get it off her chest.


That flip remark isn't sitting well with the American Institute for Cancer Research ... a rep tells us Lisa is "just using the specter of cancer as emotional blackmail to justify airing her grievance."

Setting the morality of Lisa's comments aside, the institute says Lisa is totally wrong about how cancer enters the body ... they say there is no strong evidence to support stress being the cause of cancer.


What's more, AICR says wherever Lisa is getting her information on cancer development is "certainly not based on reputable research."

Bottom-line for the cancer researchers ... Lisa "has taken a popular (but likely false) concept" and spewed it to the masses -- just to rationalize stirring up drama.

Lisa Rinna flips off fans as she’s booed at ‘RHOBH’ BravoCon panel

“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Lisa Rinna was booed after she made a surprise appearance at BravoCon on Friday, according to multiple videos on social media.

The former model, 59, shocked fans when she made her way onto the stage during the “RHOBH” panel after not originally being slated to attend.

After a rather explosive season, she was met with both cheers and boos from the crowd while walking towards the stage to sit alongside castmates Crystal Kung-Minkoff, Dorit Kemsley, Sutton Stracke, Kyle Richards, Garcelle Beauvais and Erika Jayne.

In true Rinna fashion, she proceeded to flip off the crowd before sitting down next to Kung-Minkoff, who was visibly uncomfortable.

“I’m a f—king rock star,” Rinna told Page Six and other outlets when asked about the booing incident after the panel.




Jayne and Kemsley also told us about the rather awkward moment, expressing how they felt when their close friend was received with such disdain.

Jayne, who herself has found herself on the other end of the crowds’ reaction, explained that it’s all part of the game.

“There’s no consoling Rinna. We are here in a live audience, and people do that. You get cheers, you get boos,” Jayne noted. “And that’s part of being a performer. She’s a performer. She knows what it is. We all know what this is, so the audience is allowed to feel whatever way they want to. Clap and boo. That’s part of a live audience.”

As for Kemsley, she described the moment as “intense.”

“Oh my God, it was so intense. Brad Goreski did an amazing job. I didn’t like when Lisa was booed,” she explained. “I didn’t like to see that at all. I mean, listen, it can get intense. The fans are intense. I don’t like the hecklers, but I do love the love.”

Fans have seemingly taken Kathy Hilton’s side amid her feud with Rinna, who made it her mission to expose the socialite for her “meltdown” during the cast trip to Aspen.

Following their feud, Hilton dubbed Rinna as the “biggest bully in Hollywood” during the show reunion.

Rinna clapped back at the socialite’s claims by posting an animated image of a red M&M with her signature hairdo, white gloves, diamond jewelry, and red heels to her Instagram with the caption, “The biggest bully in Hollywood, And everyone knows it.”

It’s a mess — and not a pretty one.

A Twitter user compared a BravoCon 2022 panel to the infamous Fyre Festival, calling it a “s–t show.”

The attendee wrote, “Shame on @bravotv. #BravoCon is the new Fyre Festival.

“Waiting hours in lines for panels only for there to be stampedes in, no chairs, people camping out all day to not let others in, no use of the RFID bands,” she continued. “It’s a s–t show.”










In an accompanying video, the social media user showed hordes of Bravo fans racing forward and ducking under barriers at the reality TV extravaganza in New York City on Friday.

“This is Fyre Festival,” she said from behind the camera as fellow attendees shouted amid the chaos, referencing the fraudulent 2017 music event that left high-paying guests stranded in the Bahamas with limited food and abysmal lodging conditions.

The attendee later wrote another tweet to clarify that her Fyre Festival comparison was “reactive & exaggerative” and Bravo “made clear it’s committed to making this right the rest of the weekend.”

The network said in a statement that the “over capacity issue” was caused by coordination confusion.

“There was an issue where we failed to clear the room after one panel ended while the audience for the ‘RHBH’ [sic] panel entered causing an over capacity issue,” Bravo said. “Security acted immediately to ensure safety for all present. We absolutely want to ensure that everyone has the weekend and experiences they came for.”

Page Six has learned that the chaos happened as the Ask Andy starring Andy Cohen panel ended and the Thrills in Beverly Hills panel, which saw hundreds of eager fans awaiting a chat with the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” cast, began.

Some BravoCon attendees chimed in via Twitter with their own lackluster experiences.

“Being told they won’t honor VIP or SVIP is NOT okay for folks who paid valuable, hard-earned money for those tickets,” one wrote.

“Better logistics and planning are key. Watching them walk around with staff training AS we’re IN the conference already,” they added.

“smh i can’t believe i paid for this. feel like an idiot,” another tweeted.

Others, however, expressed their desire to be at the convention despite the bustling environment.

“I can’t believe I’m missing bravocon it looks fun af,” one tweeted.

Another added, “Not being at BravoCon feels like all of your friends are having fun without you behind your back. #BravoCon #BravoCon2022.”

BravoCon, a three-day extravaganza, is in its second year, with the convention kicking off in November 2019 but taking a break amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Out of an abundance of caution, we are postponing … until next year,” Bravo announced in April 2021.

“We are just as disappointed as our loyal fans to have to cancel this year’s event, but health and safety are our top priorities,” the network’s statement continued.
