The Russian competitor is being allowed to remain in the games. You know, so it doesn't cause her "irreparable harm".
Bull Fucking Shit.

Someone please explain to me how Kamila Vileva is allowed to compete when Sha'Carri Richardson wasn’t even allowed to travel to the Olympics over a non-performance enhancing drug?

We've been Olympic watchers since 1972 when we watched some of the Munich games during our honeymoon. It's time the olympic committee enforced a timeout/ban/whatever and pass them over as hosts for the next 50 years at least. And what kind of doping and shenanigans went on in the Soviet era? Putin needs to be out as well. Sigh, humans will never learn.

Sha'Carri Richardson was banned by USATF for 30 days due to THC in her system. She accepted her suspension. Personally, I disagreed b/c it's not illegal here in Oregon and THC is not a PED. Her not being able to compete was up to US officials, not the IOC or the CAS, because we have standards that we abide by.
Valieva is Russian, it's not like they're about to report her or suspend her if she test positive. They don't care, they condone the drugging of kids in order to get their medals. It's a complete farce.
There's a big part of me that wishes all the other skaters would refuse to compete. Just shut the whole thing down because it's a rigged system. I do feel for Valieva in that she's a kid and all the adults around her failed her completely.
S. Korean skater Kim Ye-lim was publicly reprimanded for not reporting for drug testing when she was 13 and didn't know she was selected: My point is that if Kim was 13 and should have known better, Valieva should be held to the same standard.
