I'm just wondering why the excerpts call him Harold when his given name is Henry.
Anyway, it sounds like there's an interesting twist to the whole "Evil Meghan Made St Kate Cry over bridesmaid dresses!" story. Now it's being told that Kate was pissed because Charlotte's dress was too big and it made her cry when she tried it on (she was what? Three? Isn't crying about nothing a part of being three?). Meghan said a tailor was on standby to do all adjustments to the dresses and Kate demanded that the dresses be remade instead.

^^I was wondering too. Is WIlliam the only one who calls him Harold? Like an insult? Really don't get the joke.

Harry keeps calling William "Wily". Or maybe some kind of historical based shot at never being king, perhaps? William the Conqueror defeated King Harold II to take England.

Harry is quite often short for Harold. That might be why they use it, even though his name is Henry. Apparently Kate's nickname for William at uni was Big Willy ---- In the past week alone, Prince Harry has given bombshell interviews to ITV, CBS, Good Morning America and People magazine. But following on from the Duke of Sussex's publicity blitz to promote his new memoir Spare, the Duchess of York has also given a new interview. This evening, Sarah Ferguson shared a behind-the-scenes glimpse from her Retro Radio interview recording, which has yet to air, in Budapest this week. www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-11628799/Move-Prince-Harry-Sarah-Ferguson-gives-new-interview-Hungarian-radio-station.html

The Royal Family believe Harry has been “kidnapped by a cult of psychotherapy.” Go support those mental health charities Royal Family!!!! Didn't know that the RF were CO$!

"Where did you ever hear a man speak like that to a woman?" Harry didn't say, did he? But I guess we know. Diana took a lot of shit from Chuck.
Good for Meghan *and* Willy for telling Harold to get therapy. I don't doubt that both brothers have needed it badly. Glad she put her foot down right away.
Full disclosure, I don't like any of these people. Well, I admit I had a certain fondness for the Queen and Diana both, for very different reasons. Only them, though. The skin color question. I could see virulent, openly hostile racism (the blackamoor brooch bitch, right?) I could also see the "unconscious bias" concept in play. Or someone older just being unintentionally tacky--maybe no experience even with interracial relationships, biracial kids etc. Like clueless curiosity, bad manners, insensitivity. Also though, not sure if anyone's said this--in this most unfortunate world, the child's skin color would also be a matter of security. In other words, there are people out there amongst the public (and maybe within the family) who are SO racist that a darker-skinned royal offspring might provoke a more dangerous level of rage or even violent response. I could see a security consultant wanting to anticipate just how negative the potential reaction might be so they could plan ahead in terms of how best to protect mother and child, coordinating any public appearances etc. Hate to look at it that way but such people are paid to be brutally realistic in assessing threats. The conversation in question probably wasn't the first variety, or Harry wouldn't have backed off as he's done. Hope not anyway. I haven't read the book and don't anticipate doing so, oddly. I mean I am curious but it doesn't sound like he "goes there" with the darkest questions that I'd probably be most curious about. It sounds a bit tawdry actually. I look forward to reading GR reviews though!
