Kate looks great. She's very well suited to this role.

I love Camilla's crown.
This dress is pretty gorgeous on Kate.

Kate is very pretty and photogenic. This pic cracks me up, it looks so “Help me, I am being kidnapped!!” 🤣

Everyone looked great, lovely gowns and jewels. I wish Camilla would do something about her front left tooth, it always looks off kilter and dark. Charles obviously prefers loose clothing but at least he's dropped the double breasted suit jackets.

It's all getting very Marie Antoinette. Nurses are queuing at food banks, people can't afford to heat their homes, babies are dying due to mold in homes because of this and Avian Influenza is a national emergency but let them eat pheasant. For 163 guests Matching dresses

Princess Diana donned the Queen Mary Cambridge Lover's Knot Tiara and diamond earrings as she attended a banquet in 1983 in Auckland

Everyone does look nice. I love Kate's dress and the Lover's Knot tiara is my favorite.
I know British don't care about teeth the way Americans do in general but I get why Camilla doesn't bother doing anything with hers, being a heavy smoker anything would just be a temporary fix.

I still think it would be worth it, as much in the public eye as she is. But whatever she wants. She can always keep her mouth closed.

Truthfully, I think that's one of the reasons why the Queen was ok with Bill marrying a commoner. She realized after Diana just because you have royal blood, that doesn't make you suited for the demands and rigor of the role.

I feel that that tiara is so associated with Diana (and the 80s), that it would be wise to not wear it. Everyone looks nice, but the women all lack charisma.

I feel that that tiara is so associated with Diana (and the 80s), that it would be wise to not wear it. Everyone looks nice, but the women all lack charisma.This. Kate is prettier on the surface, but Diana had that certain something - an ineffable quality that grabs attention. The 'X' factor for lack of a better term. When Di held a child, or the hand of someone with AIDS, it felt like an embrace of unconditional love. I'm not saying she didn't purposely do things, because of course she knew that people would notice and would talk about it, but somehow it still didn't feel performative. Meghan sometimes has it, but Kate and Camilla and Sophie and even Anne, do their best by showing up and meeting people in a friendly, deliberate, and dutiful way: That has value, but they don't light up the room.
