It shouldn't be that big of a deal since he had to be in 'the Beast' - and it's not about chest-thumping idiocy, it's to pay respect to a world leader's 70 years of service. I just thank God we were spared the sight of Donald Trump asserting his importance because can anybody imagine him calmly waiting? No, me either. I posted in the Mar-a-Lago Gets Raided thread where he was doing his orange nut because the Biden's were in the 14th row and claiming that he wouldn't have been sat so far back. Except he would have been - the order of seating was members of Royal Households (most of whom were related to the Queen in one way or another), then the representatives of Commonwealth countries (of which the Queen was the head) and then everyone else. I dread to think about what would have happened if he'd actually attended. Would he have tried to steal a King or Queen's seat by either planting his fat arse in it or trying to glare at them to move? Would there have been a kerfuffle as one of the aides or ushers desperately tried to relocate him to the correct position? The possibilities are both endless and horrific. |

After both attending the Queen's emotional funeral on Monday, the Spanish Queen and the US first lady were reunited for a very different event today in New York. Letizia, 50, and Jill Biden, 71, both visited Columbia University's new Irving Medical Centre, where they addressed the room ahead of World Cancer Research Day this afternoon. Impeccable ceremony for a timeless and tasteful woman. The sea of black ensembles in all of the venues (especially St. George's Chapel with the black and white floor) looked so striking. And the custom made Jaguar hearse in aubergine. Incredible photo of Kate. A Garbo like photo. I didn't see her looking cold more like in deep thought and grief. Maybe she will adopt HMQ's no showing of emotion in public. No one will know what she's thinking or feeling. Charlotte's got "it". I'd like to see her be the Queen. Obviously, I'll never see it, but should George decide to not fulfill his duties... she's got that poise that Elizabeth II had (and was only the niece of the King).  ![]() |
