^^^Stupid, stupid, ungrateful idiots. I saw a doctor in my network for a bit until she casually mentioned she thought the vaccines really weren't necessary even though I'm high risk. Thank you, next.

My doctors couldn't get hold of me for my second vaccination because I was using a different number for a spell so they went as far as checking their records to see who they had registered at the same address and then called Bloke on his number to ask him to tell me to get in touch with them (obviously without telling him why). They were really on the ball and got me in on the last day the nearest vaccination centre to me was still taking people.

I had a text from mine recently for both flu + COVID jab + got my appointment booked up etc. My parents only just have their flu jab notification and they can't have their COVID done at the surgery at the same time. I told mother it was the benefit of living in a "deprived" area (for me).....

I had to deal with floods of the hippie libertarians anti-vaxxers at wf. They were all going to illegal bars and parties and making fun of the rest of us who were just trying to make it through the day without getting covid or bringing it home to our families (this was before any vaccines came out). It led to fights and crying daily. If any of you remember my posts from that time period, you'll remember me losing my mind and that was also about the time I stopped posting (and doing anything else) because it got to me so much that I turned into a person that honestly no one would want to be around. But that's a whole different story. The point is, I never can understand people like that and even knowing they are all devoid of logic and I shouldn't even try to figure them out, it gives me headache anyway. I think that we were very worried for you lovely. It was incredibly scary time. It's not improving much either due to shitheads like this. My parents were crunchy-granola-eating-sandal-wearing-home-wholemeal-stone-ground-flour-baking hippies before it was fashionable to be wary of antibiotics. That said, when we needed it, we got it. We certainly got all our vaccines (yes including Polio which is rearing it's head again) because my parents lived through the inception of the Health Service. My dad had double pneumonia as a kid and got some of the first antibiotics. They probably saved his life so they know what it's like to not have medicine to help a child survive a (now) perfectly survivable disease. Maybe some of these idiotic anti-vaxxers should go to countries (or even regions of the US) that cannot afford vaccines and decent healthcare and then make "informed choices" about if we should all be vaccinated. Let them sit by a child that is dying from something preventable and then we can have a sensible conversation about vaccines and "big pharma". Fucking idiots. And don't get me started on them forcing their anti-abortion views on everyone. No to vaccines and masks - hands of my freedumb but God forbid if someone else needs to make a different decision. Thanks, (((novice)))! That means a lot. I didn't mean to worry anyone, but I was just emotionally shot. I never want to feel like that again. I think people nowadays can only think in black and white so if they're a hippie and into crunchy stuff, they must not believe in vaccines because that's what their fellow hivemind friends tell them. It's so sad. I always had all my vaccines, but after watching the John Adams miniseries, I had a new appreciation for the lengths people would go to to have vaccines. People are more superstitious/ignorant now than they were in the middle ages. ^^^Stupid, stupid, ungrateful idiots. I saw a doctor in my network for a bit until she casually mentioned she thought the vaccines really weren't necessary even though I'm high risk. Thank you, next. Oh. hell no. I found out that an acquaintance of an acquaintance of mine, who I had known became a nurse after I knew her, was outed for being an anti-vaxxer and covid denier which only came to light because she got blasted for being at the capitol on 1/6. I was never friends with this person, but I still wanted to die a little bit. Apparently she was not at the actual storming part of the day, and she scrubbed most of her social media, so she is probably still a nurse out there somewhere. I don't know what happened after that.
