In an image shared to husband Sam Palmer's Instagram page, the socialite, 33, was seen sat in a wheelchair as a young boy pushed her from behind
Sam was quick to joke that his wife was keen to skip the theme park's long queues as he quipped: 'Anything to get on a ride quickly!'
While much of Sam's followers saw the funny side to Petra's antics, one took offence at her actions, commenting on the post: 'Not cool'
Petra Ecclestone appeared in a playful mood on Thursday as she larked about in a wheelchair during a family trip to Chessington World of Adventures.
MailOnline have contacted Petra's representatives for comment.
For those with a physical disability, Chessington World of Adventures provides a Ride Access Pass, which they state is a 'system we have in place to help guests who require extra assistance or are unable to queue due to a condition or disability.
'This allows them access to the rides via a queuing system for themselves and up to three people (one of which must be age 14+).'
They add: 'The Ride Access Pass removes the need for our guests to wait within the main ride queue lines, and enter by a dedicated entrance for Ride Access Pass users.'
Petra appeared in great spirits as she beamed to the camera, with the beauty keeping her look casual in a white T-shirt, grey leggings and a purple baseball cap.
Sam also shared a number of snaps of the fun day out featuring their children Lavinia, nine, twins Andrew and James, seven, and their youngest daughter Minnie, two, in addition to other family friends.
