^ I can't imagine Harry and Meghan will be there but we shall see. William and Charles wouldn't want Andrew on the balcony but I guess the Queen will have the final word.

Sorry for the double post. Royal experts have blasted Harry's 'delusional' assertions that he is 'protecting' the Queen and trying to make sure she has 'the right people around her' after he and Meghan quit royal duties, moved to California and plunged the Royal Family into crisis. The duke's remarks were also branded a 'gross insult' to Charles and William as NBC's Today show aired an excerpt of their interview with the prince ahead of its full broadcast at midday today - just 24 hours before the elderly monarch's 96th birthday. Harry and Meghan had visited the Queen for supposed 'olive branch' talks at Windsor Castle and met with Charles for just 15 minutes before flying out to Holland for the Invictus Games on what is the couple's first public appearance in Europe together in two years. But speaking to the Today show about his meeting with the Queen, the duke said: 'Being with her it was great, it was just so nice to see her, she's on great form. She's always got a great sense of humour with me and I'm just making sure that she's protected and got the right people around her. Both Meghan and I had tea with her, so it was really nice to catch up with her.' Royal experts claimed that Harry's astonishing remark was a 'gross insult' to Charles and William, with both of whom he has a deeply strained relationship, and evidence that the duke 'doesn't deserve to attend the Jubilee celebrations and be on the Balcony'. Others warned that Harry's life risked becoming 'totally distorted' as he 'becomes a Kardashian-type'. It comes after he and Meghan skipped Prince Philip's memorial service at Westminster Abbey last month over 'security concerns' and after the couple made a string of damaging claims, including of racism, against the Royal Family in their Oprah sit-down. Royal correspondent Robert Jobson tweeted: 'Prince Harry says on US TV he is making sure the Queen is 'protected and has the right people around her'. How so? I think you'll find that Prince Charles and Her Majesty's children and William are DOING just that and supporting the Queen, with actions - and not just words.' Angela Levin, who wrote the book Harry: Conversations with the Prince, claimed: 'Harry's comment on US TV about him checking the Queen is protected is a gross insult to Prince Charles and William. He's underlined even more that he doesn't deserve to attend the Jubilee celebrations and be on the Balcony'. And former Conservative MP David Mellor told GB News: 'On came the news about Harry saying his granny needs to be protected and I fell about. This was a real comic turn. The most best-paid comedian couldn't be funnier than that. What is the man on? Or rather what is he off? 'I mean, you just think to yourself, he is really showing signs. But I think what it is, his life is totally distorted now by becoming a Kardashian-type figure, where he's surrounded by people who want to photograph him because they're paying him lots of money for the privilege of filming him, and the Queen becomes important to him only because he has to see the Queen for his credibility on Netflix. Royal aides will be concerned about details from a private meeting being divulged, which come on top of fears over what could be contained in his forthcoming memoirs and Netflix documenting his every move at the Games. 'I have no reason to believe - and, in fact, people say the Queen is still as sharp as a tack, I mean physically, obviously when you're 95 you and I will probably look a little bit sad about getting around, but basically she's bright - do you imagine for a single solitary moment she didn't say to him: 'Harry, what's going on, why are you out there in California. Why have you thrown over the family business?'' Morning Show journalist Peter Ford angrily called the duke 'delusional', adding: 'Prince Harry says he's making sure The Queen is 'protected & has 'the right people around her'! Yet he was nowhere to be seen at Prince Philip's memorial. He was busy talking to Oprah when Prince Philip was on his death bed! He's delusional.' www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10734159/Royal-experts-slam-delusional-Prince-Harrys-protecting-Queen-remark.html

This sounds very bitter and whiny. Whatever Harry does or doesn't do... and most especially anything he says...they're determined to pick it apart and slam him for eternity because he broke out of the box.
It's getting old at this point.
Every time I read one of these stupid articles I'm more convinced that Harry did the right thing, regardless of what the truth is about how insufferable Meghan may or may not be.
I would hardly call theirs a Kardashian existence. That just makes The Fail sound even more ridiculous than I already find them.

I too think he did the right thing for himself and for his family. But still, saying that he made sure that Lilibeth has the right people around her... that's quite something. I'm pretty sure that Anne and Charles do that job on a daily basis, they certainly don't need a familymember who lives on another continent control them and talk about it to the press.
I don't know, ever so often Harry is just not that smart when he runs his mouth.

Harry and Meghan are the only Royals I like. The rest of them are a bunch of inbred, snotty, overprivileged has-beens.

That was not the smartest thing to say though I do think he genuinely cares about the Queen and means well, but yeah ... The article is OTT though. These idiots saying he only went to see her because of credibility for Netflix are so stupid. All of these idiots worrying about what he's going to say in his memoirs are telling on themselves.

Prince Harry said his mother has done her bit to get his brother William set up and is now 'helping my family'. In his latest interview on US television, the Duke of Sussex told NBC's Today that he feels Princess Diana's 'presence in almost everything that I do now' and that he talks to his son Archie about her and there are photos of her in their home. Harry said he has felt his mother's presence more so in that last two years than ever before - approximately the same length of time since he and Meghan Markle stepped back from Royal duties in January 2020. He said: 'It's almost as though she's done her bit with my brother and now she's very much helping me. She's got him set up and now she's helping me set up - that's what it feels like. He's got his kids, I've got my kids. 'The circumstances are obviously different but I feel her presence in almost everything that I do now. But definitely more so in the last two years than ever before, without a question. She's watching over us www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10735397/Harry-says-Princess-Diana-got-William-set-helping-family.htmlThe more he says the more unstable he sounds to me

This is such an asshole statement and a low blow pot shot at Will, imo.

This is such an asshole statement and a low blow pot shot at Will, imo. I don't know if that was but he was also going on about how the Queen tells him things she doesn't tell anyone else. Why do we even need to know? There are certain things which can sound like little digs.

i'm not getting unstable so much as not too bright and shouldn't be talking to the press without a script, especially since he knows that everything is going to be misinterpreted. so even if it's intended as a casual istatement in the moment people are going to go out of their way with the mental gymnastics to interpret it every which way possible. there's nothing wrong with what he said, it just sounds like he's saying that she was there in spirit for both of them, first for william since he had kids first and now for harry. i don't see how that makes him unstable or how it's an asshole statement or a low blow?

I wouldn't have thought he was unstable from that comment alone but it's more from a combination of things he's said over the past few years. But yeah he needs to quit talking to the press without a script.

I was going to say that having children himself maybe makes him feel closer to his mother (parent stuff).
Given that it’s the #dailyheil reporting it I’ll be it was cut to make him sound unstable instead of just cheesey & not too bright.
I heard the convo about he wants to make sure that QEII has the “right” people around her but I thought it was more of those twats at the palace not Charles/Bill/etc He also met with Charles & I would suggest that he also have digital communication with them.

Harry must have taken a correspondence course in television interviews from Uncle Andy. (eye-roll)
If he thought about what he going to say and still said it, that would make it stupid and aggressive. Not a good look. If, as most people seem to believe, he said it as a way of reminding everyone of his special relationship with the Queen, because he's not very bright and he did not realize how insulting it was, that's not a great look either, but possibly slightly less bad? He does have a special relationship with the Queen, but from what I've observed and read over the years, the Queen has made great efforts to ensure that she has a very special relationship with every single one of her grandchildren. Yes, she's the Queen, but she's also "Granny."
To be fair (Letterkenny pause: tbf) to Harry, it doesn't really matter what he says, the Sun & the Mail especially will shred him to pieces. He just seems to make it so easy for them sometimes.
After this, though, I don't think they will be on that balcony on June 2. Especially not with the children. On the other hand, I'm wrong so often they could actually be there, little not-princeling and not-princessling and all.

i guess i don't understand why he's giving interviews at all.
part of their justification for moving was because they were harrassed by the press. so stay away from the press! it's not that hard.
