One wonders if the brand of spirits and fruit juice mixes were really worth it.
For, as a friend close to her husband Ben Affleck told Dailymail.com, her alcohol venture was 'one of the things that broke the camel's back'.
Indeed, they go so far as to say it contributed to Ben, not Jen, being the one to pull the plug on their union amid speculation that their marriage is finally at an end.

Why was Ben, 51, so infuriated by this high profile commercial enterprise? Friends say that, as a recovering alcoholic, he felt his wife selling vodka and tequila tipples was not only insulting to him, but dangerous. He had, after all, spent many years battling his addiction.
When the label was first launched last year, he was said to be devastated.


His hurt was only heightened by his belief that her motivation for launching her drinks' brand was purely financial — for cold, hard cash.
First seeking help for his alcoholism in 2001, Ben has since been in rehab multiple times. His drinking led to the breakdown of his marriage to Jennifer Garner.
To make matters worse, J-Lo then went on a very public promo campaign where she told the Press how much she loves to drink to 'relax and let loose'.
Even this week, she released an image of herself lounging on a sunbed in a swimming costume to advertise the latest addition to the range.
But by continuing to sell alcohol Ben thought she was 'rubbing his face in it', that it was something he finds 'sick'.

I do remember side eyeing her when she launched that stuff last year, like how much money is enough? But I do push back a little at the stories coming out making this all her fault. I’m sure we’ll be hearing from her side soon to counter this.

please. this is the most bullshit fairy tale reason the daily mail could come up with.

first of all, the vast majority of recovering alcoholics don't take issue with others drinking. they served booze at their wedding too so i call BS on this.
also, how many DC (or is it marvel) movies has ben been in? actors only do those for "cold, hard cash" (and anyone claiming otherwise is a liar) so obviously he doesn't have an issue with ventures that are purely for money.

and everyone knows jlo is a total control freak and probably doesn't drink more than a half glass of champagne a month so i doubt anyone was buying her BS about drinking all the time to relax.

truly, it was worth a shot. If they'd managed to pull this off it would have been a magical story of second chances. No shock it ended, but the romantic in me understands trying twice.

--I'm suffering from horrible PMDD and am on prozac so I don't want to die. I do believe the meds may be altering my disposition. I'm kinda sad it didn't work out. I've also lost weight on the prozac and I fear it's healing the bitter jealous fatty in me!
