I think a 2 hour post-apocolyptical film with the main character is a PITA (according to the trailer) is just not reading the room at this time. Maybe she was trying to appeal the the Trumpers? |

I wonder how much of the breakdown of this relationship (if there is one) is due to that stupid documentary. I've only seen clips but Ben is on camera questioning if this is a good idea and lamenting that she gave their private love letters to producers (and I think songwriters). She overplayed her hand. On top of that her tour sales were horrible. I think she thought marrying Ben made her fame go up (or get hotter for a minute) and that would translate to epic sales for what she's shilling. Only it didn't. Everyone made fun of her (and by extension him) and nobody seemed all that interested in seeing her live. Must be a blow to her massive ego. Her latest film is getting pretty lukewarm reviews too. I didn't even know she had one out. |

Her latest film is getting pretty lukewarm reviews too. That would be the worst thing she could imagine, lol. I actually like some of her movies/acting. I liked Maid in Manhattan (ducks for cover from the derision). I know, I know, it's a shokly mess but Cinderella stories still get me almost every time. For years I kinda stood up for her as a disciplined dancer/singer/actor who wasn't great at any of them, but worked hard to make the most of herself. This latest stuff, though, seems to confirm, without room for error, that she is insanely in love with herself above any decent behavior. I'm not an idiot - Ben Affleck is a mess - but what she pulled on him is despicable. She's pulling back hard now. I think she was so caught up in her "love story" that she thought she was invincible, and she was shocked when he said hell no and walked out. She should have remembered he was the one who left her, and he's done it again. I think she's trying to salvage it, so we'll see how that goes.  |

In one clip I saw Ben is discussing (with the camera) how he told her when they got back together that he wanted to keep their private lives private. The first go around was such a media shitstorm and he hated it.
But then she comes at him with this documentary and he tells the camera that he couldn't say no because this is who she is and he has to love all parts of her.
Which sounds cool except relationships aren't about just one person getting whatever they want. She knew he had big issues with it and she plowed ahead anyway under the "I'm an artist! This is what I do!"
He should have stuck to his guns but I see it as his attempt to compromise and be a better partner. But it seems he truly does hate it and now he can't deal.
Doesn't help that the public said "no thank you."

I laughed when I saw that she cancelled her tour. I haven't recovered from her movie music video, so she's saving a lot of ears this way. Also, Ben's suit in those pics is extra terrible. It looks like when a guy doesn't have a suit for a formal occasion and they have to borrow one from their short uncle. I think the tour was cancelled for her since tickets weren't selling. |

That’s what I assumed, too. So I guess I should have said a lot of people saved their own ears lol. The sales must have been abysmal because she is deluded to the nth degree and that’s the only way she would really just stop. She really believed that no celebrities would be in her stupid music movie because they were scared to “put themselves out there”… I don’t even know what that means but it wasn’t the obvious answer at any rate. |

I've not seen any trailers for the documentary. |

I watched the documentary on my second screen while I had to do some repetitive work on the other. What a snoozefest. I couldn't concentrate even though my work I was doing was so boring, I found myself really invested in my excel sheets.
