I like the earrings and the dress color too but that stupid bow thing on the shoulder is so awful it ruins everything.

The bow is the best and most interesting part of it to me. I like the dress well enough, but it really is way too long and those white pumps are extra fussy and cheap and dated looking.

espadrilles or some other type of sandal would have worked here, to match the hat she had on TV. a dark blue sandal would have worked too, to match the little bow she's wearing. i just fucking hate white pumps, they shouldn't exist.

I don't think pumps should exist in white or beige. I will give some leeway on sandals or certain boots or really over the top avant garde stuff, but basic pumps, no. Because I was curious about the length, I looked up the original dress. It's sleeveless and a few inches shorter and I think the few inches make a difference. I like the bow on Kate's version way better. Kate's dress is marigold (the third photo) and this one is "light corn" which is the ugliest name for a color I've ever heard.   NET-A-PORTER
