I tried watching Mare of Easttown & gave up at episode 4. I tried Riviera & gave up after a few as well.
Hopefully Reacher will be better.

i finally watched 'what we do in the shadows', the TV show. i adored the movie and i'd been kind of resisting watching the show i don't even know why other than mild apprehension about a TV adaptation of a movie but it is HILARIOUS! i forget who it was (there might have been several of you) who told me to watch but thank you! i was in such a pissy mood yesterday and this was exactly the super funny but also reassuringly low stakes comedy i needed. i finished season 1 and can't wait to watch the rest. I talked a lot about that series in the former forum, I LOVE it, especially Nandor, all his lines are priceless “Nooooooooo, I am pillaging everyone, you included !” lol 'creepy paper' is a classic at home.
and now every guillermoi know is a 'guillermo' for me (as i pronounce it like nandor does).

A dumpster fire reality show on Netflix called Love is Blind. Holy shit that whack ass show is addictive. Me too! ITA -- like watching a train wreck -- you can't take your eyes off it. I am also watching Bel Air, which is the dramatic reboot of Fresh Prince on Peacock. Love the idea of the reboot as a drama, but it's a little too earnest and cliche. The most interesting part is that instead of the snobby, happy, preppy Carlton with his fun dance, we have a very dour, serious and anxiety-ridden Carlton who is very jealous of Will. I'll keep watching, because nostalgia and all, but I wouldn't highly recommend it.

Yeah I thought that the portrayal of the brother was interesting, the jealousy and insecurity is probably more 3D than the 80s would have allowed.

^^^ I never really sat down and watched Friends either, my mom watched it and we only ever had one TV until I was in Jr High so I watched in passing. I know some of the famous references but that's the extent of my Friends knowledge. Thankfully it wasn't a popular topic in my trivia days!!! I finally finished Inventing Anna. I agree it did start to pick up in the second half but I really grew to hate Vivien. And now I wait until April 29 for Ozark. Vivian is the WORST! Instead of acting like a reporter, she acted like a fangirl. Thought it was pretty funny how she was critiquing / criticizing / insulting Anna's parents as she was 1000's of miles away from her infant to satisfy her own obsession.

Don't say in one line you can't stand not being in the same room as your daughter then flee to another country to stalk someone else's family!!! She beyond crossed the line looking for her parents (along with being her courtroom personal shopper). They say that the show was "inspired by" the reporter Jessica Pressler so I found myself wondering how much of that character was fictionalized. I haven't really dug into her story though to find out. I do think I'm going to add My Friend Anna to my reading list.

Trying Witcher but didn’t get through the first espisode. It is very hard to get through if you don't know the backstory. I didn't know it, but around episode 2/3 you can start to appreciate it as a standalone story without knowing anything about it.

I hear that song (something about giving the Witcher some money?) when I was in the kitchen so I’ll try esp 2 again.

I was a big Vikings fan, so I started watching Vikings Valhalla. It's not bad, but nothing will be as good as Vikings was while Ragnar was alive.

I love Julia Garner and was looking forward to this show, but it was a huge struggle to get through. It was at least three episodes too long, and each episode in itself was too long. Painful! I hated all of the characters (especially NEFF and her exasperating, holier-than-thou attitude while defending this bitch) except Kacy - and even Kacy turned on the only sane person (Rachel) at the end. I don't understand how everyone decided that they felt sorry for Anna and was siding with her, even the Scriberia folks? WHY??
