I've had Samsung for years and I love the brand. Verizon is my carrier, and anytime I've gone into the store to explore or change phones, the salespeople have always steered me away from iPhones.

R is an Android devotee and Samsungs are tos on his list. He recently went from the Samsung Zflip3 to the S22 plus. The S22 Ultra is a replacement for the note line. It's large like the note and has a stylus- more of a phablet.

Android vs ios is like Hamiltonian vs Jeffersonian democracy. A lot of it depends on your outlook on technology. Android (and Windows, and UNIX) users tend to be people who like to modify their system. Ios people tend to not want to futz with stuff and want something streamlined. Most techno nerds seem to be Android and Linux users. Artists and hipsters tend to be Ios users. As much as I like Android and Samsung, for the last MONTH I have not been able to make a voice call to someone else's phone since I did an OS update. I'm going to need to go into my local AT&T store and get some kind of cloned SIM card to fix the situation. That kind of booboo, after all this time, is pretty unforgivable. That's how the difference between Android and iPhone was explained to me by a Verizon salesman a long time ago. I do like playing around with the system so that's how I ended up not getting an iPhone. I don't know the difference between an Android phone and a Samsung. I thought Android was the OS and Samsung was the brand of the device. I am in the market for a new phone at some point soon and was going to switch over to an iPhone just for something different, and also because my most recent phone was kind of a buggy lemon, but people have been telling me they prefer their Samsungs and that the camera is better. They also hate the price gouging and needing to buy all Apple-related products for their phones. I wish I had enough disposable income to have both so I wouldn't have to decide. You are right. I got an android in the end, but got a Sony phone. I take a lot of photos & it has one of the best cameras. I had this brand of phones when they were Sony Ericsson and before that when they were Ericsson - Ericsson made the switch equipment & were a radio company. Their phones could get signal when Nokias could not.

Interesting! Let me know how you like it. I was looking at a Sony phone as well when I bought the last Samsung - only bought the Samsung because they had a really nice offer.

They had a great offer on when I got this £120-worth if Sony headphones free. Just waiting for them to arrive. I did have to send the 1st one back as it wasn't picking up signal + this looks low but it's fine. It doesn't have wireless charging but I already knew that when I got it & it works better as a satnav with a usb wired connection in my car so not an issue. It charges on USB-C but again not an issue as I have spare cables. www.sony.co.uk/electronics/smartphones/xperia-5m3New phone + a lower monthly cost so it's fine. It works great so far, I was watching TV in it last night & it was great.

I have an iPhone because I'm too lazy to learn how to use an Android. my husband has one & every time I mess around on it, I get aggravated.

Phone is good. Camera is *great* (see below) Headphones are blissful
The only issue I had while I was away was that the phone overheated but it was 30C.
1) Wide angle lense
2) Fast to use
3) Looking into light it's still not lost the detail on the inside of the window
4) Lots of light & lots of people milling around.
