Ick. Yes she's tall and thin with long legs. If she has any cellulite or other imperfections in real life, they've been photoshopped out here, as is par for the course. But I do not think she has a particularly beautiful and definitely not a feminine body. I'll bet unedited that butt/hips is even closer to being the same width as her waist. And that face would stop a clock. Not in a good way. But let's keep the pretense that she's gorgeous and the epitome of female beauty and not at all massively overrated.  |

She's another example of my pet theory: she can be plain or beautiful (check out the Gisele Bundchen Vogue thread just below in contrast. My theory: Some people like Uma Thurman, Hailey Bieber, and Gisele can look incredibly plain and nondescript, and other times they are drop-dead gorgeous. I think that's a handy talent. |

Uma Thurman has talent and substance. And is a unique beauty.
Those other two? Skinny, overrated butterfaces.
But I will give it to Gisele, she is an actual working model and got there legitimately.
Hailey is a celebspawn who married a famous singer. If she were not a child of someone famous from a famous family we would not know who she is.

And you don't have to be a generic pretty girl to be a successful model. You need to have something about you that photographs well. I think Kate Moss was overrated, but she has gorgeous cheekbones and had a look that was different from everyone else. So did Twiggy and Lauren Hutton. Linda Evangelista was a chameleon -- she was styled with different hair colors, different hair styles, different makeup -- and she made everything look good. All these models have distinctive looks that make them stand out in the crowd, including Gisele. |
