Rebel Wilson has named Sacha Baron Cohen as a previously unnamed ‘a*****e’ in her upcoming memoir. The Pitch Perfect actress, 44, is set to release new book Rebel Rising, which looks into her childhood, career and personal life. However it appears lawyers have descended ahead of the memoir’s release, seemingly taking issue with an ‘a*****e’ named in a chapter of the book. She has now named the person she is talking about in the book, declaring she will not be ‘bullied or silenced’. Taking to Instagram stories, Rebel wrote: ‘I will not be bullied or silenced by high priced lawyers or PR crisis managers 'The “a*****e” that I am talking about in ONE CHAPTER of my book is: Sacha Baron Cohen' It comes after Rebel claimed an ‘a*****e’ she mentioned in her book was ‘trying to threaten me’. ‘He’s hired a crisis PR manager and lawyers. He’s trying to stop press coming out about my new book,’ she wrote on Instagram. ‘But the book WILL come out and you will all know the truth.’ Rebel previously shared that when she first came to Hollywood, colleagues told her they have a ‘no a******s policy … I don’t work with a******s.’ ‘I was like, “Yeah, that sounds sensible, logical.”‘ She said she had ‘worked with a massive a****e, and now I definitely have a no a*****e policy chapter on said a*****e. It is chapter 23. That guy was a massive a*****e.’ metro.co.uk/2024/03/25/rebel-wilson-refuses-bullied-silenced-sacha-baron-cohen-20522596/

I read speculations online about that, and the majority thought it to be Sasha Baron Cohen. Good for her naming him!

i think it's also possible when two strong personalities clash for them both to be convinced the other person is an asshole. doesn't mean they're an asshole in general. and honestly, rebel wilson kind of comes off as a bit of an asshole herself, so there's that. and that's not necessarily a bad thing, in that industry you probably have to be to survive.
i doubt i'll read this but i hope my celebrity memoir podcast does an episode on it. it's called 'celebrity book club' and it's hilarious and bitchy af.

She alleges that he whipped out his little Sasha Baron Cohen and demanded a sex act though. Yep. ----- "He called me into a room and pulled down his pants," she says. Then in front of his friends, he asked her to perform a lewd act. "It was awful and disgusting," she says. "And all the behavior afterwards — this was all before #MeToo — where they kind of tried to destroy me and my career. If it had happened after #MeToo, then I could have just blasted them." As a trained lawyer (Wilson also has a law degree from University of New South Wales), she did what she could. "Because I'm a lawyer, I documented it," she says, "I called my rep. I got certain things in writing about what happened." "I thought even complaining to my agency was a big step. And to complain to the studio . I found out I was like the fourth person to complain about the guy. Such gross behavior, but a lot of women have had it way worse." people.com/movies/rebel-wilson-reveals-metoo-moment-when-costar-tried-to-destroy-her-exclusive/

It sounds like something Uncle Terry would do. Also, checking the timeline, she appears to have only done one movie with this guy. So, not only did he pull this stunt (in front of witnesses), which should get your *ss canceled, he also did the other stuff with the body double and the finger. He sounds as absolutely off the rails as the characters he portrays.
