Medical information about the gentleman was posted on Lipstick Alley about a year ago. I actually reg'd on the site to warn the person, incogneato(who stated that they were a doctor and that a nurse had shared the life-threatening nature of his illness with incogneato!!!!!), against what they were doing but ended up by being piled-on and called a 'karen'!

^^^ That's why it looks fake to me. The letter actually did not need to state the celebrity's name (redacted in the image). Just that a particular person (who received the letter) is known to have accessed medical records in violation of HIPAA and then released them publicly - in violation of HIPAA. And somehow, they do not cite the fact that HIPAA specifies criminal penalties and fines (up to a year in prison and $50,000 fine). Plus, they don't state that this is an ongoing legal action.
