i don't think it's true. or at least not for another couple of years. google shows most of the articles about this are from weird websites and ok magazine, back in january. nothing from any reputable sources and nothing recent. and the last piece of news i found is that abc renewed her contract for 4 more years back in september of 2021 which means she's not up for renewal until august-september 2025? www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/whoopi-goldberg-the-view-contract-1235018876/ |

I would be very surprised if this was true, unless Whoopi demanded so much money they had to say no. ABC and Disney love Whoopi, and she loves the money. She has her daughter, grandchildren and great grandchild to support.
I could do without her, I think Joy Behar is a better moderator, but Joy is 80 years old. (No way does she look 80!!) How much longer will she be doing the show?

And Whoopi was the star of the whole thing. I think she was hitting a giant gong at the end and giving a one liner. I remember thinking, "that sure doesn't look like someone who's been fired." |
