^^ So true. Where's Mrs. Trebek living I wonder? Looks like there's a faux Young Girl Combing her Hair by Renoir in the dining room. I'll never know what it's like to have a living room sized bedroom. I like the feeling in the bedroom, roomy, restful. I remember how popular Kreiss Furniture was in the late 80's. French Renaissance with overstuffed sofas. www.kreiss.com/collections/renaissance

This annoys the shit out of me. You've got nice big planters for those trees but it looks like someone just set the damn nursery pots down in them instead of planting the trees in the pots. Or maybe it's an irrigation thingy? Even if they're fake trees that still annoys the fuck out of me Those damn arched trellises with ivy up inside the ceiling dome. NO. i'm guessing (hoping?) the nursery pots are for staging, to sell the house, and not actually how it was set up? the family probably removed all the personal items and their actual plants when the wife moved out and they listed the place. i'm guessing most of the furniture is original to the house because i doubt any real estate agent would stage it with this fugly crap, and a lot of it looks like it was bought specifically for the house. i know his second wife was younger, (i think she was late 50s when he died) and one would think too young for this decor but i guess not. the tackylicious trompe-l'oeil trellis and ivy paintings in the ceiling dome are a crime against humanity. i mean unless your house is legit over a century old, it's tacky as fuck to even have a ceiling dome in the first place but yeah.

If they are real trees a lot of plant people will keep their plants in plastic pots with good drainage holes and place that in the larger/nicer pot. If you're having to replant often, it's just easier plus a lot of personally made ceramic pots don't have drainage holes which is not great for plants. However, it's not difficult to at least find pots that are somewhat the size you need, those giant green pots are too big which makes it look stupid.

Why did they chose to have a different floor in every room? White marmor tiles, red carpet, beige carpet, wood, traditional tiles? Don't get me started on the furniture, the design.

Very dated, especially the kitchen, but I've seen a whole lot worse. I thought of The Golden Girls too-this is what they would have had if they had all been multimillionaires!

Words fail me. The pool is probably the best thing about it.
