Hi waterslide, missed you! Hope they've figured out a diagnosis for you, it kinda sounds like what I went through with diverticulitis but whatever it was, glad you're on the mend.

Oh wow waterslide, that's scary! You don't know what it is you had or still have? And you lost your job because of it? I'm so sorry! (Yes, we have emojis - if you click on the purple reply button, you'll have lots of more options to post your reply) Thanks! I just found the purple reply button. And also figured out how to multiquote! No, I have no idea what I have/had. Words like gallbladder, cancer, IBS, etc. were floated around. Things are more normal now so in a few months when I hopefully have a new job, some money in the bank, and most of all, insurance that I can go ahead and do the test anyway. I think I was just unable to eat at work and I stopped eating completely for a few days and then I got dehydrated and then a strange virus was going around at the same time that everyone in my town had...I'm hoping it was that. But my bloodwork was fine...slightly elevated WBC but it was in normal range so it might not have been that. I didn't so much "lose" my job because I quit. The owner screwed me over on my taxes and then sent that email about how much money I owe her for the insurance for the time I missed and I was just done. Incidentally, I cut my finger in January and required stitches and she didn't end up paying for the second and third follow ups...She only sees money signs. The worst part is that I was just starting to go out and have fun and I had to cancel at least two trips over this which is also not the worst thing in the world, but it is disappointing. Hey Slide! Welcome back and I'm so happy you're feeling better. Being down for the count for that long is a total pain in the ass (sounds like perhaps "literally"). It was a literal pain in the ass. Actually, my old boss was a pain in the non-literal ass and I think he was what caused my illness in part so.... Edit: I found the multiquote but not the next page. lol Thanks for all the well wishes, everybody! @lindsay, Yeah, I'm ready to put the past few years behind me. beeyotch I have never - even when I had a serious diagnosis back in college - been that sick for so long. I was actually getting really scared for a while. trixie I was really concerned it might be diverticulitis and they don't seem to think that was it. I also thought it would ironically be lactose intolerance but working around cheese didn't make me sick of cheese, but I just didn't eat it as much except maybe a bite a day and normally it was goat or sheep anyway. But I've eaten a few junk food meals (pizza or whatever) and it didn't make me any sicker than eating plain chicken broth. I guess we'll find out eventually.

I just swung by for an (unlogged) visit and there isn't even a death rattle anymore. Next to nothing happening there since January/February. Kim K may think she broke the internet but we motherfucking MURDERED IT!
