I'm waiting for the bird app icon to change, then I'll put it back in a folder so it won't be as noticeable. I only have the app because our daughter and 2 granddaughters use it.

Microsoft owns the service mark, Meta owns the trademark for any social media related use. They are actually different marks.

Meta Platforms - whose Threads platform is a new Twitter rival - owns a federal trademark registered in 2019 covering a blue-and-white letter “X” for fields including software and social media.

So the latest fuckery floating about the internet is that Musk is claiming a health condition that means he won't be able to go ahead with his proposed cage match with Zuck for at least several months, maybe longer.    And other reports suggest that Twitter X has been funnelling everything but the kitchen sink Musk dragged in with him through an auction house and other resale outlets.  Not just Bird branded stuff but coffee machines, refrigerators, desks, chairs... If it ain't nailed down it's being sold. And the company still owes rent on several office sites, with the owners of the Boulder office alone chasing nearly $140k.

twitter/the app formally known as twitter/X isn't about $ it is an exercise purely in ego.
Because Musk isn't an bevos/gates/jobs-etc it's not successful. He took a company & ran it into the ground.

The online speculation is that it's because people have been blocking him in record numbers thanks to his Tweets being forced onto user's feeds, whether they want them and follow him or not.

Most artists don't make money from selling records - if she writes her own songs that would bring in $, and touring and merchandise is always more lucrative than record/streaming sales.
