I think Johnny Depp is gross (take a shower and brush those teeth, Johnny) and whereas I do think he's nutty and prone to trashing shit, I 100% do not believe he has ever hit/abused Amber Heard, or any woman, in any way. The man obviously has demons, but he's not a wife beater.

Amber Heard admitted the poop in her shared bed with Johnny Depp was 'a horrible practical joke,' a security guard testified
Amber Heard took responsibility for the poop in her shared bed with Johnny Depp the night after an explosive fight, according to one of Depp's security guards, who testified that she called it "a horrible practical joke." Starling Jenkins, a member of Depp's security team, testified about the feces in the trial between Heard and Depp on Thursday. Depp is suing Heard, alleging she defamed him when she described herself as a victim of domestic violence in a 2018 op-ed for the Washington Post, and that she in fact physically and verbally abused him. www.insider.com/amber-heard-admitted-poop-johnny-depp-bed-guard-testifies-2022-4 That's not a practical joke, that's vile and disgusting! Especially for the person who had to remove the turd and then wash the bedding.

^^^ this.
i don't know if there was battery, but both of these 2 suck. the problem is, that JD comes across as pretty charming. i don't think AH has enough personality to pull this off when she is on the stand. and i think her attorneys are a bit starstruck.

This story has been all over the news this morning - even the ACLU is getting a black eye: www.yahoo.com/entertainment/amber-heard-johnny-depp-divorce-settlement-charity-aclu-190013243.htmlAmber Heard didn't donate Johnny Depp $7 million divorce settlement to charity Elon Musk won't be testifying at Amber Heard and Johnny Depp's defamation trial, but he's getting a lot of air time this week. On Thursday, it was revealed that Musk most likely paid for part of Heard's donation, or lack thereof, to the America Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). After Heard and Depp settled their divorce in 2016, she publicly vowed to split her $7 million sum between two charities: ACLU and Children's Hospital of Los Angeles (CHLA). The Aquaman star has stated on multiple occasions, including in U.K.'s high court in 2020, that she donated the settlement as promised. However, neither organization received the money in full. Terence Dougherty, general counsel of the ACLU, testified in a video deposition that Heard has not donated her pledged $3.5 million to the organization. Only $1.3 million has been donated to date in Heard's name, which includes a donation from Depp himself. Dougherty said Heard paid $350,000 directly. Indirectly, the ACLU received a $100,000 check from Depp, $500,000 from a donor-advised fund at Vanguard and $350,000 from a donor-advised fund at Fidelity. Dougherty said "we believe" the $500,000 donation was from Musk, while the Fidelity fund was involved with Heard. "She has not donated $3.5 million as of today to the ACLU, true?" Depp's lawyers asked. "True," Dougherty replied. Heard's payments to the ACLU were supposed to be in installments over a 10-year period, as Musk explained to the group in a 2016 email. When asked why Musk was "representing this on behalf of Ms. Heard," Dougherty said he thought it was because the Tesla CEO had a prior relationship with the organization. (Musk was also dating Heard at the time.) The last payment the ACLU received was in 2018 from the Fidelity fund. Then, the payments stopped coming. In 2019, the group reached out to Heard for her donation. "We learned that she was having financial difficulties," Dougherty said. Prior to the defamation trial, Depp scored a major victory when a judge ruled the ACLU had to turn over documents related to Heard's donations. Depp's lawyers say she lied about donating her divorce settlement during the U.K. libel trial, which he ultimately lost. Depp is suing Heard for $50 million for a 2018 op-ed she wrote in the Washington Post about being a survivor of domestic abuse. Dougherty testified that the ACLU helped conceptualize, pitch and craft Heard's piece as she serves as an ACLU ambassador "for women's rights, with a focus on gender-based violence." Internal communication within the ACLU was read in court showing just how involved the group was with the op-ed.

I think now that Johnny's going to win and probably be awarded a minimal amount.

I seem to recall some debate about the settlement and Heard's donations back on the old board. Didn't Johnny send his first payment directly to the charity versus Amber?
I think I remember thinking it was deliciously passive aggressive but others saw it as a controlling move by an abuser.
Then again, I thought her "I will be donating this allllll to charity" was a PR stunt so Johnny calling her bluff amused me.

Johnny donated $100k to each of Amber's charities in her name, then deducted it from her divorce settlement.
I think the ACLU looks pretty dirty here, they assisted in writing that op ed, if not actually writing all of it. Edits were done to remove reference to "my husband" so Amber didn't violate her NDA. They wanted to promote ACLU and time the op ed to the release of the Aquaman movie.
So far, Johnny's managed to paint her as a mentally unstable woman and himself as a saint. We'll see how she holds up on the stand. So far, I'm not impressed with her attorneys at all, and the woman attorney really annoyed me, so I imagine she annoyed the jury too. They really didn't score any points in their cross-examinations.

Is it true that we are still in the phase where Depp's team is presenting and that Heard's has not even started it's presentation yet?

Is it true that we are still in the phase where Depp's team is presenting and that Heard's has not even started it's presentation yet? I think so. Howard Stern: ‘Narcissist’ Johnny Depp is ‘overacting’ in Amber Heard trialHoward Stern branded Johnny Depp a “huge narcissist” and called him out for “overacting” in his ongoing defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard. “The reason he wanted that on — he wanted it televised [because] that’s what narcissists do,” the shock jock said Monday on his SiriusXM radio show while discussing of Depp’s highly publicized legal battle with Heard. They think they can talk their way out of anything,” Stern, 68, continued. “I think Johnny Depp is a huge narcissist and what I mean by that is — he figured, ‘I’ll put this on TV and because I’m so persuasive and because I’m so smart, I’m such a wonderful guy.’” The former “America’s Got Talent” judge then accused Depp of putting on a show. “I’ll play you some clips from the Johnny Depp trial. If he isn’t acting — I mean, he’s so overacting because he’s writing his own material as he goes along,” he continued. “You know, I gotta tell you, he’s wrong. He shouldn’t be putting this on TV in any shape.” Depp, 58, is suing Heard, 36, for defamation after she alluded that their relationship was allegedly abusive in an op-ed piece written for The Washington Post in 2018. The case has been livestreamed via various platforms since April 11. Stern also opined that Depp and Heard sound like “two battling children” — and predicted that their respective careers can’t be saved no matter the outcome of the trial. “That’s what narcissists do, [they say], ‘I will charm the pants off of America at the trial.’ No you won’t! This will not go well,” he said. “It’s not going well for you, it’s not going well for her. It’s not going well for anybody.” Stern also poked fun at Depp’s perplexing accent. “First of all, his difficulty in speaking the English language is fantastic…And the accent. First of all, isn’t he from like the South of the Midwest? Johnny Depp was born in Kentucky,” he said of the Owensboro native. “Does that sound like a guy from Kentucky?” Depp’s cross-examination concluded April 25. Heard has not yet testified yet, though she is scheduled to do so in the coming days.Depp and Heard finalized their divorce in January 2017 nearly two years after trying the knot in a private ceremony on the “Cry Baby” actor’s private island in the Caribbean.

Johnny's side has not rested their case yet and there are still (at least) a few more witnesses. Then Amber's side starts next week sometime. I have a feeling Johnny's lawyers are gonna skewer her.
Howard Stern is probably the only person I know of who has said anything negative about Depp.
I think the ACLU info was damaging, especially since it means Amber lied in the UK trial when she said she had donated her entire divorce settlement. The judge used that info in his decision, saying since she gave the money to charity, it proved she wasn't a golddigger. Her agreement was payments over 10 years, which isn't up yet, but she hasn't paid anything since 2018.

agree with that.
but everyone and their dog is weighing in on this trial. and most of what i see is very pro-johnny. i agree with HS that JD is def putting on a performance. his charm could sway the trial. he comes across as a very likeable person. not sure who AH will perform.
