There's something about this picture that bothers me. (I mean, beyond the fact they're bothersome.) Something's off and I can't pinpoint it. Maybe the fact that everybody looks like they’d rather be anywhere else?

I don't know, but somehow I get the feeling that most of the boys are just byproducts of her wanting more girls. Her IG is all babies there are some pics of the older kids but the baby pictures are maybe twice as many?

When you are irresponsible enough to have more children than you can adequately take care of at one time, your older children inevitably end up getting pushed into the role of caregivers. You don't see a boy holding this baby. Now I know Carmen is the oldest. But she's only 9 years old. The oldest boy is 7 and a half I think. But in this picture the boys are crawling all over the place and basically being typical children with parents whose energies are scattered. The little girl is sitting like a grown up and holding baby Ilary like it's not her first time at this rodeo. Maria looks like she wants off Hilary's lap and is a millisecond away from a melt down.
This house is probably like a 3 ring circus.
Now I know back in the day, before birth control existed...let alone options for women, this was how families looked. I think you have certain people who wax nostalgic about this, but then you have people who are honest. Especially about the ways in which this sucked for the women and especially for the kids, mainly the girl children who had to become mini adults instead of having a childhood.
Even though I've went through phases of feeling wistful about not having more children besides DarkJr. I think one of the advantages was all the ages and stages I got to experience and enjoy with him and actually be present in those moments. Not distracted by being knee deep in diapers or with a baby hanging off my tit, or having to rush a smaller kid to the potty.
Hilary is rich enough to have help, but isn't she one of those stubborn ones with something to prove? Or is that just more fakery and they actually do have people they're paying to help raise these kids?

I believe they have a bunch of nannies and she's just in it for the Insta-fame illusion of being a superwoman to make other women feel less.

You know, every one of you is right - and what it comes down to is that other than the oldest holding the baby, nobody is interacting with each other. Even Hilary is acting upon the girl who just wants to get off her lap - the only interaction there is about control.
Their house must be chaotic. They probably tell themselves they love and thrive off the chaos, but I'd question that just based on how exhausted (and unwashed!) Alec looks.

Yeah, Carmen is doing the mothering of the smallest one already. That's what her mother taught her by word and example - a woman's worth is rooted in mothering. I've seen this in my own extended family. "Oh, she's such a little mother!" says the heifer of a mother in a proud voice as she sits on her arse directing the oldest to take care of all the others.

Yeah I'm getting Duggar vibes, the little girl is being roped into her mother's baby-making obsession. Or it could just be a little girl who loves her baby sister, but this is Hilary so I automatically think the worst. You're right, it could be either. I was 7, 8/9ish and then 12 when my 3 siblings were born and I did like holding them and playing with them as babies. But my mom didn't make me raise them or make them my responsibility at all, certainly not beyond what I wanted to do. Then again, I didn't have 6--SIX!!-- siblings. With 6, older ones just end up responsible by default. What are they going to do, have 7 nannies? I doubt it, maybe 4.

They must be enslaving those poor nannies. I remember their help-wanted ad for nannies. No person with a social security number would take what they offered.

I don’t think he’s hurting for financially. His estimated networth is $60 million. Cash poor maybe.

I have a headache just looking at that picture. I know it's unfair to judge based off one photo alone, but fuck it, it looks like chaos.

any time there are more than 3 kids close in age, there will likely be chaos. i just see a pic snapped in an unfortunate moment.
