We always had iodine. I think my Mom was able to distract me from it stinging because I was mesmerized by the pretty red color. So probably nothing's changed. lol  |

We used Bactine. I got some when my cats were kittens because of their needle claws. The smell brought me right back to my childhood.

I tried to buy some iodine locally recently & you can’t get that either. Looks like you can still buy it in the US at Walgreens, CVS, Walmart, etc. Walgreens has it on sale buy one get one half off. Not sure why anyone would need THAT much of it... We used Bactine. I got some when my cats were kittens because of their needle claws. The smell brought me right back to my childhood. I remember Bactine! I still keep generic triple antibiotic cream around for cuts and stuff. My mom was also a big fan of hydrogen peroxide for lots of stuff, too. |

I tried to buy some iodine locally recently & you can’t get that either. I just stick Sudocrem on everything. Pimples, burns, cat scratches. Seems to do the trick. |

We kept a few things one hand when I was a kid cause I was ALWAYS getting hurt or getting poison ivy, etc
- Bactine
- Iodine
- Rubbing alcohol
- Camomille lotion
- Peroxide
and the all-time worst: black drawing salve. My mom put that crap on every single scrape/cut I ever got. Surprised I still have flesh on my knees.

Oh I forgot about calamine lotion! I had to buy some of that a few years back when I got shingles. It was kind of a pain in the ass to use because it's more like a liquid than a lotion.
I don't remember black drawing salve, but it sounds interesting.
