I was reading up on cashapp and would prefer not to sign up because I would never use it for anything else and they want your SSN# which for small amounts is ridiculous. I try to keep my personal info to a minimum, especially when it comes to banking. I also could do venmo or paypal.

Cashapp asks for your SSN now? They absolutely did not when I signed up, but that could be a response to the new IRS regulations where these types of apps have to report your transactions now.

That's what google and reddit said. I understand if it's over $10k. I signed up for venmo not long ago and I didn't have to do that. Just used my debit card to send money to a friend, and when she paid me back they had to verify my bank account to deposit the money there but it was easy peasy.

i didn't have to provide anything but my phone number and debit card, no SSN or anything else. i didnt' have it either and signed up and it was easier to set up than venmo.

I was just trying to get about $200 to last until early next year. I have $105 already, so don't sweat if you don't have cashapp. We're already close. I thought you were going to ask for 36K  Joke aside, if Paypal works, that'd be great, I have no idea what Venmo is, and Cashapp doesn't work here  |
