in any case i really hope that poor boy is being paid verrrry generously to be nonna madge's sex slave/nurse. When I was that guy's age, I was pretty freaked out at the thought of a 40+ woman. Now, I know better. But Madonna is 20 years beyond that. I just can't wrap my head around what that would be like from a 20-year-old's perspective. I'm also kind of curious about whether 1) she is just so spry and on such great HRT that she feels like she needs to be with someone his age. Or 2) she feels that being seen with him gives her some kind of relevance/veneer of being youthful.

Oh definitely option 2. Her whole career has been pushing herself as a sexual being and it never really seemed authentic to me. Nothing has changed.

definitely option 2. these young guys are only there for validation. and maybe sex as well but i think that's a distant second to the validation aspect. i don't see there being any kind of emotional connection or intimacy, or that she's ever vulnerable around them. i think guy ritchie was her last ever attempt at a real relationship and anything since has been purely transactional/for validation. she's always been a massive control freak and the sex stuff is for show/provocation. she loves the attention and the power. that's what she really gets off on, not sex itself.

I can 100% believe that. I knew a couple of girls like that when I was in my twenties. They loved and needed to be the centre of male attention and feeling like an obvious threat to other women in a "I'm so sexually sexy I can take your man in a heartbeat" kind of way but, when it came down to the bare bones of it, they didn't seem to like the actual "having sex" part that much. It was quite intimidating when I was younger but now I kind of feel sorry for them. They got all of the dazzle without any of the fun of the razzle.

On that last part, that was the impression that stayed with me when Carrie Fisher interviewed her long ago for Rolling Stone Magazine. Didn't seem like she was into it.
