Kelly Osbourne Shares Why She Supports the Ozempic Trend

Kelly Osbourne thinks this criticism is born of jealousy.

And that's why when it comes to Ozempic and other Type 2 diabetes medications many celebrities have spoken about using for weight loss, she doesn't understand why it's seen as such a big deal.

"I think it's amazing," Kelly exclusively told E! News of the Ozempic trend while at Dolly Parton's Pet Gala red carpet Jan. 30."There are a million ways to lose weight, why not do it through something that's isn't as boring as working out?"

As for those pushing back against the use of the drugs for anything other than diabetes management? Well, Kelly has plenty of thoughts about that.

"People hate on it because they want to do it," the Osbournes alum said. "And the people who hate on it the most are the people who are secretly doing it or pissed off that they can't afford it. Unfortunately, right now it's something that is very expensive but it eventually won't be because it actually works."

Over the years, Kelly has been candid about her struggles with her weight—including losing what she felt to be an excessive amount after giving birth to her son Sidney in 2022.

EXACTLY! A friend's mum has been taken off it and put on a different medication that's giving her terrible nausea and other side effects but sure, she's just jealous that Kelly is rich and doesn't need to jump on a treadmill anymore.

My daughter is a medical assistant at a primary care doctor. The (majority) of women who take this that come in her office are nuts. The ones who have been on for a while and come in for a check-up and have met their bmi throw fits because they can't stay on it. Then there are the ones who don't understand why their insurance doesn't cover it and try to demand her to call their insurance company to get it covered. One lady asked if they could write her insurance & tell that that she has tried dieting and exercise and it didn't work (she never tried either). When there was the shortage, one patient wanted her to call around to all the pharmacies to see who had it in stock. Some of her co-workers are on it and are constantly complaining of nausea and no appetite. It's crazy

Ohhhh, like the "fat-binding" diet pills that were all the rage a few years ago.  I used to work out of a small office and we shared our toilets with the business next door (the toilets were on a communal corridor to the rear).  The woman who ran the other business was really into those things but didn't do anything to change her diet and kept eating fat-laden crap. The mess and stink that she used to leave behind was overpowering! No joke, it would creep down the corridor, somehow overwhelm the smell from the gents toilets as it passed and then leak under the door into our part of the building. I tried all kinds of things to deal with it but nothing worked. Air fresheners just mixed with it and made you want to retch, she closed the toilet windows if we left them open and left snarky notes about it in our mailbox the next day and we even tried putting a draft excluder in front of our door and spraying it with Zoflora disinfectant but that was almost as bad as the air freshener. 


I was so glad when I changed jobs.
