Actually that's the microphone transmitter... usually clipped on the back, to allow a singer to move and dance without it falling off all the time... Lol No way what I saw was a mic pack. If anyone knows how to screengrab from tiktok, here: www.tiktok.com/t/ZT8AYhxVq/Omg! Definitely not a mic pack.

I gotta give it to her for getting out there and going on tour, especially after her health scare, but she looks so slow and deliberate in the clips I've watched. She pushed her body for so many years and now it's caught up with her. I wish she could have aged gracefully and evolved, accepting her limitations and still being an icon without looking so desperate. She doesn't have to try to do what she did even a decade ago. I think fans would still clamor to see her, even without bustiers, role playing S & M and trying to shock.

How can she possibly think her ridiculous rear end looks good? Jeez.

She moves like an old woman who is in a lot of pain, particularly in her knees. Maybe it's time for a knee replacement once she completes this tour.

People don't realize how much wear and tear joints go through especially when you've spent the majority of your adult years being physically active on a regular basis. Prince was only in his fifties when he died and he'd had two hip replacements. Madonna has already had one of those back in 2020
Speaking of, my fucking hip has started bothering me off and on and I'm annoyed af about it because I'm trying to get back and stay on a workout regimen but I'm requiring more rest between bursts of activity like working out. My mom made it to her 70's before she needed a hip replacement. But I worry I'm gonna end up with one before then.

I've read that it can be a big help for joint pain because of the way it trains the muscles to be more supportive. Anecdotally, my sorta-adopted dad took up yoga as a young man in the sixties after breaking his back tearing about on what he called his "hooligan machine" (a Garelli motorbike). He was told that he'd never not have pain while walking or lift anything comfortably again until he met a very forward thinking doctor who suggested that he take up yoga. He took the advice seriously and the end result was a very, very active life with minimal discomfort and still being able to twist himself into a pretzel right up until he died.

Well that sounds like a plan kittylady. My hip has arthritis and both knees seem to have some kind of ligament damage from falling too many times. One of my friends is a reiki (sp?) healer and I can't believe that it is working. I have been given info re anti-inflammatory diet (pls don't mention beetroot juice again) and adding yoga to it seems like it might help too. Maybe I can do it with my dog? Lol.

Pilates is also great for strengthening muscles vs building muscle. I have a very problematic hip that will eventually need to be replaced. It was acting up recently and I added some Pilates stretching to my morning “let me crack every joint in my body to get out of this bed” routine. It’s helping. Drives the dogs crazy but it’s helping.

Yes. I'm considering going in this direction. My mom is 79 and still does yoga and/or other exercises every morning. There are certain things she has to do differently with a history of two shoulder surgeries and a hip replacement. But she's still very active especially for her age. She used to teach exercise classes when I was younger in fact (aerobics, yoga).
She'd been told she would eventually need a hip replacement at least two years before it actually happened. She finally did it when it started slowing her down. I was worried if she didn't do it sooner something was going to happen like a fall where she broke it and then the surgery and recovery time would be more of an ordeal. She has concrete steps/stairs every way to enter (front, back, garage where especially steep) the absurbly large house she won't move out of. She's always carrying stuff into and out of the house going up and down those steps that even I have to be cautious on now at my age.
Thankfully the surgery was a snap for her and therapy had her walking down the hall the next day. She stayed with Jr and me for 10 days, I drove her to therapy. By 7 days she was ready to be driving herself, but I made her wait until the follow up appointment 3 days later where she was relased to drive herself to outpatient therapy. That was 6 years ago when she was 73. No regrets for her except not doing it sooner.

MsDark - have you had an x-ray that shows cartilage loss in the hip ball and socket area? I know that sometimes hip pain and problems are just from kind of an imbalance in muscle strength. A lot of people focus on quads and hamstrings and not on hips, which are part of your core, and hold the whole thing together.
This past weekend, I was telling Mrs Mo that the sleeping pads in our tents were making me feel like I had hip problems and her reaction was that maybe I have hip problems and didn't realize it. But within 24 hours of sleeping on a regular bed, the discomfort and pain go away completely.

Generally, when an x-ray is done for suspected cartilage issue, they are looking more at the surrounding tissues and bones for injury/changes that are indicative of cartilage damage. Cartilage is much clearer and defined on MRIs.

Madonna would be appalled if she knew a thread about her turned into a thread about aches, pains and hip and knee replacements.

Cartilage is much clearer and defined on MRIs. That's a great point, but I could have sworn that a doctor told us that with an X-ray they are looking at the separation between the ball and the pelvis to see the overall separation, which would indicate the amount of cartilage that still remains. I guess that would only show bone-on-bone (severe) deterioration, though.
