this is turning into the art world equivalent of that guy fieri times square restaurant NYT review that broke the internet, or reaction to the last season of game of thrones, and i'm loving it. jerry saltz (ny mag's art critic and husband of the NYT's roberta smith) was even bitchier on his instagram account: "This is a very reddish radish of a picture of the King of England by the kitsch crapola artist Jonathan Yeo #JonathanYeo - born in 1970. It is mock romantic monochromatic morose shite because it only has subject matter. If you like it, that’s fine too of course. Either way, it is a forgettable illustration of a painting".
