It was the opposite for me. I started on Rybelsus but had nausea everyday. I did lower my daily glucose and my a1c and lost weight. I'm now on Ozempic and had nausea once when I overate. My Bestie's mum has been switched to tablets instead of the injections to help manage her diabetes because (according to her doctor) the shortages of the injection means they are trying to reserve it for cases where weight management is an extreme problem. She was fine on the injections but is utterly miserable with tiredness and nausea on the pills. That seems very backwards! Save the injections for people who need it to help with their diabetes (like my dad!), & make the people who just want to lose weight take the pills! It was originally intended to help diabetics lower their A1C, so they should be the priority. If the pills are making your friend's mom ill, then that's going to make her less likely to take them, which will affect her A1C. If someone who just wants to lose weight takes the pills & gets nauseous, they will be more likely to still continue taking them because all they care about is the weight loss, & have already shown that they're willing to take the shortcut. *shrug*

Except for the purple hair and downturned mouth, Kelly looks like a totally different person.
