True. Many aging actresses/celebs (and an occasional actor) hold on to the look that either made them famous or gave them the most success/adulation:
This has got to be a wig, right? Posted this years ago on the old GR board. His hair looked particularly dodgy at this event:

I don't know; my grandmother had hair just that color of red, and as she aged it got grayer around her face but stayed red at the crown. I'm not sure it was still that bright a color of red, though.Redford seems like he wouldn't give a f*ck what his hair looks like as long as it's combed. My sorta-adopted dad had incredibly thick, dark reddish brown hair with barely any grey when he passed away in his mid-sixties. At the other end of the scale I've known people who've gone grey in their twenties.

I'm 59 now and have grey hair all over. In the back sort of like a fog/cobweb through my dark reddish brown hair. The front is the opposite: almost white, with a bit of my original color through it.

I kind of wish I had a whole head of grey/silver/white. I barely have any, just enough to aggravate me. So yes, I do some not-too-permanent color now. But not a complete cover, just something that matches and blends in with my natural color that my lady brushes on and combs through. I got a few highlights around my face last year and the last time I got my color she even separated those out so I could keep them.
A couple people in my mom's family have full heads of silver/white still thick hair. If my hair ever looks like theirs one day, I'll be more than happy to leave it alone. But even my 79 yo mom is not completely grey though her much younger cousin (who had the same color as hers before) is totally white. Go figure.

This has got to be a wig, right? Yes, it has to be. I've seen him referred to as a strawberry blond, but he was really a blond. Even when he was young, his hair was never THIS red. Plus he's 80 now, so his natural hair is either gray, white or gone.
