I've been to Chicago. I liked it.
But my favorite US city (that I've ever been to) hands down: San Francisco, CA. But that was over 20 years ago.

I'm from Chicagoland (Western Suburbs). I don't belong here though there are definite positives to living here, e.g., my governor is actually trying to protect productive rights. And we have a few good places to eat and shop but not as many as other places but we make up for that in cold weather and crime. Hey Waterslide -- I live in the northern Chicago burbs. We're collar county neighbors!  MsDark - I've actually calmed down about hating Chicago as much as I used to, and I always have a soft spot for it no matter how much I complain, and it is a cool place to visit, but I'm just bored and burnt out from the weather, the traffic, etc. |

Levitt! You made an appearance!! I am in Miami, and I hate the heat and humidity here. I want pants weather. I was happier in L.A. and San Francisco. Born in El Paso, TX but raised in naval bases in Sicily and north Florida. L.A. is the only place that ever truly felt like home.Isn’t that the truth x Born in Texas, raised in SoCal, moved back to Texas. Can't wait to get back home! |
