Okay whatever. I live in the state where she was born. Even if she had managed to graduate from a school here, trust me. She's not educated.
Her mental problems are another matter altogether. And they didn't just magically appear at 25 with an official diagnosis.
She grew up in a fucked up environment with shitty, selfish (and probably also shittily educated) parents for whom seeing to it that she had any kind of life skills beyond being a performing show pony/cash cow so she could support the entire family (at an age where she would otherwise be off getting ejumacated if she'd had a normal life) was not on the priority list.
There are no scholars or mental giants in this family, believe me. Assholes, yes.
I feel bad for her. But the last thing she needs is a baby. This is not going to end well.

Oh lordy *insert unwarranted tension here* ... I get supporting Britney and defending her but heavens. It's objectively clear that regardless of her intelligence level her demonstration of her intellectual skills are not her strong suit. She has lots of strengths but intellectual interaction does not appear to be one of them. Which is all good, we ain't all rocket scientists. That being said, she clearly has mental issues (whether biological or due to her upbringing - which would have been wildly bizarre even if she had a good strong family, which she doesn't). This pregnancy has all the makings of a catastrophe.
I do hope I'm wrong.

Agreed, burnt. It's one thing to be supportive and root for her. I think most of us do.
But it's quite another to willfully ignore the fact that she is CLEARLY ill and has been for quite some time. And a baby being brought into it is not only likely horrible for the baby, it will be terrible for her as well. It will be a shit-show of epic proportions, most likely.
Her stans can't or won't see this, which is frustrating and sad and yes, it makes them look ignorant too. Sorry (not really), but it does.
Her family is shitty AF and I wouldn't wish them on ANYONE, but to think this woman is going to thrive being completely without any guidance at all (and again, I don't mean that trashy family) is the height of stupidity.
I know this is harsh, but I'll take the hit for it. It needs to be said.

I think something that really bothers me most about the die hard "Free Britney" people is they are so young they don't even realize/know she already HAS 2 teenage sons that were taken away from her. So they root and cheer for her, clap when she gets to take out her IUD and get a manicure (down with the patriarchy!!!) but they don't realize how incredibly selfish it is for her to bring a baby into this world knowing that a) she can't take care of it because she can BARELY take care of herself and b) the effect that having a baby can potentially have on her mental health (I do give her points for disclosing that she suffered from perinatal depression, but HELLO RED FLAG). She REALLY started losing her shit after the birth of her second kid, I think anyone who isn't concerned about this situation is straight up an idiot. |

Also, she is really pretty dumb. Being able to memorize dance routines is not the sign of intelligence. People with "Savant Syndrome" do things like that all the time. Jerry Lee Lewis memorized and performed elaborate piano routines and productions but is basically illiterate and has done even dumber things than Britney.

She's dumb, mentally ill and probably off her meds, and has the emotional maturity of a teenager. She's not equipped to raise a child. That doesn't mean I don't wish her well. I think she deserves to be happy but I don't think a living, breathing cuddle toy is the answer.

I root for Britney but pregnancy and motherhood are hard enough for people without mental illness. She hasn't exactly appeared stable lately. I think she needs to take time to heal, not rush into a pregnancy. I hope it goes well, but I fear both Britney and this baby have a long road ahead. It's hard on kids to grow up with a parent with mental illness.

Just a note - illiterate, uneducated and unintelligent are not the same thing.
Britney is unintelligible and unintelligent (imho).
She isn’t illiterate but could be uneducated or poorly educated due to home-schooling or on-set schooling. But it’s a shallow gene pool that she was fished from.
