i try to use the right pronoun if i know. but of course, i don't always. and i've been taught to say 'person' if i don't know.

God, she should be embarrassed but you know she isn't. She fits right in with the Miami crowd. I was at my kid's end of year recital yesterday morning (pre-K and elementary) and more than half the people were decked out in their designer everything. White pants, white outfits in general, and label whores galore. It was a sea of tacky and she would have been in her element. No wonder she likes it here. Girl, you got that right! I remember living in Miami and sometimes people were decked out just standing outside to pick up the kids from school. Brand name workout wear (that never looked like the wearers had worked out or were headed to work out) was popular too. Then I'm out there in my thin v neck Target tshirt, capri pant scrubs and vest with the kangaroo pockets and slip on shoes. I think there was a surgeon who sometimes showed up in scrubs. So at least two of us schlubs looking like we actually did something for a living.  |
