Am I misremembering or did Richard Chamberlain come out as gay? Yeah, he came out in his 2003 memoir and interviews with Larry King etc. I remember that in that interview he said one of the reasons why he'd waited so long was that he'd always been in the market for romantic lead roles (on television) and he was now past that age. He also said, if I remember correctly, that he'd lost his virginity while serving in the army after the Korean war to a Japanese girl.
