you know it's just a matter of time until they figure out there are negative long term effects with these drugs and there's a reason you should only take them if you are diabetic or have actual health reasons that justify it, and not just that you want to lose weight without too much effort.

Ha, don't get me started. I haven't been able to get my Ozempic for 4 months because of these assholes. My A1C was still ok last time I saw my doctor but it's gone up since I'm not taking it. I don't want to take other meds because of side effects. I was able to get a 4 week sample last time I saw my doctor but tomorrow is the last dose I have.

So sorry you have to go through that Trixie. That really sucks. It really makes me angry that doctors would prescribe it for weight loss knowing that other people need it for health reasons.

My daughter ran into a similar issue with her hyroxycholoquin (I don't know if I spelled it right) after the stupid Trumpers started taking it to ward off Covid. It basically became a controlled substance and she had to jump through hoops to get it.

I saw something the other day that said that studies are starting to show that Ozempic and Wegovy are causing a loss in muscle mass in the people taking it to aid weight loss unless they really put in plenty of extra exercise to try and counter it. And, like anything that relies on a quick fix rather than lifestyle changes, all the weight comes back (and then some) if you stop taking it. I think we may well end up seeing quite a few sickly looking and/or ballooning celebrities in a couple of years time.

^^ And I bet they are taking higher doses than what is prescribed for diabetes, especially if they are taking Wegovy, which is available in higher doses. Or they could double up their Ozempic. Pretty stupid to take it so you can be skinny for an awards show when you're just gonna be fat again next year.

ok - i don't know much about ozempic so i just looked at the fda docs. i am stunned that what would be considered a 'blockbuster' - drugs that are in use in large populations like diabetes, high blood pressure, etc - would be approved in such small numbers. ~500 patients and 7 months of treatment. oy. and initially novo nordisk got an RTF. oy oy oy.
let's see what happens when they have ozempic long-term results.

^^ I Hope I don't but at least I'm not taking it for all the wrong reasons. I actually just got another 4 week rx from my pharmacy which I will pick up tomorrow. I'm also surprised they approved it for weight loss only so quickly.

After looking up potential side effects I'm going to suggest not going to the bathroom immediately after anybody that is taking large doses of it to get celebu-skinny. Possible side effects include nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, constipation, abdominal pain, headache, fatigue, indigestion/heartburn, dizziness, bloating (abdominal distension), belching, low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) in patients with type 2 diabetes, gas (flatulence), gastroenteritis, and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)

lol, well I don't have any major side effects, I've had stomach issues long before the ozempic and I don't see where it's made them any worse. But none of the nausea, vomiting, headaches, etc. I don't know how long they say it is safe to take but I will say when I couldn't get it my appetite definitely came back and I gained back a bit. So far I've lost about 20 lbs and would like to lose 30. That was what I lost after my 2019 surgery and my A1C was totally normal, 4.8. Then the pandemic hit and I gained it all back.

These people taking ozempic for weight are going to have major issues in the long run.
I also think this dress was not appropriate for the Oscars. It's a Grammy's dress at best.
Also, her hairline looks strange to me.
