He hasn’t seen the kids because she’s blocked him repeatedly. Though he last saw them about six months ago, not eight. Since he’s been back in the US from his last job she’s refused to let him see them. Some of it is in the texts, and some comes from her social media. She apparently has a long history of being nuts on social media. Shut down his fan group because of a couple of critical comments about her. A couple of years ago got into a Twitter spat and threatened to kill herself, something she’s now done a few times. She was also really nasty about him on social media going back years. I don’t think he’s been abusive, and I don’t think it was a case of him deciding family life wasn’t for him. I think she is genuinely off her rocker, that she was a nightmare to be around, and I expect to hear that she’s escalated her behaviour to paint herself as the victim.
I do find it interesting that there is less sympathy for a man who is being harassed than for a woman. If a man had been sending his ex those texts no one would be saying, well, she drove him to it.

I think his attorneys are building a good case for a different custody arrangement and they're advising him to hang back. She's stepping into the fray willingly and if there isn't a fire, she's starting one. If only to say she put the fire out.

Whatever the truth is, whether she's an unhinged drunk through gaslighting or he left because she's an unhinged drunk, someone who loves her should step in and cut off her internet access and try to get her some help. She's making this her whole identity and the internet is enabling her.
A bad relationship/situation/experience will always be with you and be a part of who you become because this shit leaves a mark, but you can't let it be the ENTIRETY of who you are.

yeah those photos are scary and i definitely thought alcoholism when i saw them. that's not normal weight gain or bloating, she's starting to look like lara flynn boyle in those horrible photos from years ago.
