I love everyone and everything here, it'so fitting for Vivienne's memorial service. Chrissie looks good, Bianca looks like Mick and Christina Hendricks has never looked better. I'm going to search for pics of Andreas Kronthaler now... I got a pic of Andreas with HBC too! Post them! |

Iris Law, I don't understand the pussy hat, unless it was something VW designed or gave to her. Iris Law's hat made me think of Louise from Bob's Burgers lol.  I don't know who Jamie Winstone is, but she looks a lot like Helena Bonham Carter. She's a British actress (best known for the film Kidulthood) and the daughter of British actor Ray Winstone. Also Helena Bonham Carter for all those of you who asked.  |

Thank you for the Andreas pics. I feel for him. While I don't doubt that he screwed around with everyone willing, I'm pretty sure he really loved and cared for Vivienne. Also, she guided his career as a designer and shielded him from making stupid mistakes. Without her, he's completely lost. He has ideas, but the feeling for quality, colors and patterns, the iconic brand - that was all Vivienne. Her exceptional talent, her knowledge for historic clothing, her activism and her status as a Punk icon, that's all gone.
Dang, I miss her, she was unique.

Just a few comments:
Victoria Beckham looks very nice here.
Chrissie Hynde does indeed look like she has arthritis in her knuckles. Must be painful. :-(
Bianca Jagger still looks stylish, elegant and fully recognizable.
Georgia May Jagger looks like another sullen nepo baby.
It's sad to see Vanessa Redgrave getting old and holding onto her daughter for support. Joely Richardson's daughter, Daisy Bevan, is also in that picture and bears a stunning resemblance to her mother.
Jaime Winstone may be the daughter of actor Ray Winstone. But it's the boots on the person behind her that caught my attention -- soooo thick and ugly. Thick-soled shoes and boots have obviously made a comeback in London (and perhaps elsewhere).
Why are they all carrying cell phones in these photos? That's what purses and pockets are for!

Thanks for posting, kitty. That's quite an eclectic group. So many of them, I had to scroll down to see who it was, and then scroll back up for another look. My takes: Chrissie Hynde, I thought that was her and she looks pretty good. Not someone I woulld expect to be there. Christina Hendricks, she's never looked better. Georgia May, really, you couldn't bother to style your hair or wear matching clothes? Bianca, I didn't think it was possible but the older they get, the more she and Mick look alike. Iris Law, I don't understand the pussy hat, unless it was something VW designed or gave to her. Elle Fanning, another I didn't expect to be there. Alexa Chung, of course she was there. They all should have been required to wear VW clothes to gain admission. (Maybe some of them did and I just don't recognize) And where the hell was Helena Bonham Carter? Chrissie was probably a mate from back in the day. VW was around with punks & before in the 70s. Georgia May looks to be wearing a VW top + jacket. The hair - no excuse. I guess some of the rest were customers that became friends. I liked spotting who was wearing her stuff and remembering again what a fucking awesome tailor she was. I saw her suits at an exhibition a few years ago and got to check they out "up close" (so close I am surprised I didn't trigger an alarm but I never touched just had my face 3 inches from them ...) |
