Maybe I'd feel that way if I had more body hair. I have some pretty much invisible very light blonde fuzz on my arms and legs, and my pit hair, of which I did not have much to begin with, has basically disappeared post-meno. I look like I shave, but I don't. I have dark hair, & my body hair is also dark. Edit: I'm in menopause right now, but I haven't had the perk of losing body hair! Although it does seem like I can go longer between shaves. Yes, dark hair is definitely more visible.
My body hair didn't reduce until I was post-meno, so you might still get there.

Are you telling me there's a point in my life when I won't need to shave anymore?
I'm like Constancespry, blonde fuzz and 1" squared in each pit. I am super pale but have dark brown hair, so go figure. My dad is like a hairless cat, guess I inherited that trait.

However, I seem to be getting some extra hair around my upper lip and chin. It fucking never ends. Menopause sucks. And not in a good way.

I feel so much cleaner without pit hair, I don't like the way leg hair feels in pants or against my sheets. But to each their own! Maybe I'd feel that way if I had more body hair. I look like I shave, but I don't. Yeah but my head hair also seems to be thinking so I am trying g to remember to take biotin to help with that.

I had hair thinning in peri meno and biotin didn't help. thyroid and blood counts were normal. Scary, because my hair is thin and baby fine to begin with, so I really couldn't spare any and was literally researching hair pieces. But things settled down, baby hair grew back and everything is okay now, knock wood. Hopefully it'll be the same for you.
Dolem, from what I've read body hair decrease is pretty common, so you may indeed not have to shave eventually.

^^^
<---That's me with a bit shorter hair some 5 months ago. Freshly washed and styled hair for that matter. I'll delete it later
I have broken off hair, shorter periods of growth and hairloss - all on my already super fine, greasy hair. I always look like I've just reached into an electrical socket. I'm currently trying to let it grow out so I can do a pony tail. It's just so awful. So far, my (darker and much stronger) bodyhair did not get the message, but why should anything ever be good with me and my hair. Sigh!
EDIT: I went back to my original avatar, that's the lovely Bebe Neuwirth and not me.

I’m 12?13? years post menopause (surgical @ 40). I’m also just starting to go grey so maybe that is something to do with it. ^^^

It’s fingernails for me - always soft & brittle.

You are cute, lofty. Re. hair, most of the above for me, except it is very dry instead of oily. Which is another annoying issue because if I don't use conditioner, it gets dry and frizzy. If I do use it, it has to be just the right amount or my hair goes limp and stringy. If I try to curl/wave it, the curl stays in maybe 2 hours. I have to keep it shorter because it looks crap when it grows out, and some strands grow faster so the bottom gets thin and uneven. I keep it in a shoulder length bob, seems to work best. Oh, I didn't realize you were post. I seem to recall you are in the medical field, so your labs are probably fine and can't be causing it? For nails, I use Ella & Mila products, they work quite well and I can grow them out reliably. Which, for me, is maybe 1/8th inch beyond fingertips, I can't stand them longer than that.

I'm currently using a shampoo with silicone in it and while I loath that, it works wonders. Also a leave in serum that gives moisture. Also, I messd the formatting up, sorry.

You look great, Lofty!
I'm about 15/16 years post-surgical menopause, and I don't have to shave anywhere. My hair is a lot like yours, Lofty. I usually wear it pulled into a high ponytail or an Aunt Bee (Andy Griffith Show) bun because for some bizarre reason it somewhat reduces my pain from chronic migraines. One gift my hair gave me was the color - it looks as though I have highlights, but they are actually grey/silver lights.

Thank you! Aunt Bee - I'd to look that one up, it's a good, practical hairstyle. I'll ask my hairdresser how to do it. Last time I visited her, she just laughed. She apolgized, but she was right, I hadn't seen her for 10 weeks, I looked "gone with the wind".

Isn’t that weird? I had mine cut in October (badly & she gave me covid) & I trimmed it today myself to give it some shape. I did try to put blue highlights in it with foils etc but they just look black on my hair.
Constance - 1/8 would be great! They Currently break all the time.
