I don't think the blouse goes with the rest of it, but I'm no fashion guru.

I do, too, but the print looks a bit like granny's sofa. The colors are flattering, though. I like the blouse, but it's so impractical with all those shells dangling on it. How would you ever clean that? But the boots are hideous. A pair of beige wedges would look better.

The granny sofa look is what I kind of like about it. lol I like ugly retro/vintage/questionable stuff, though. I don't mind the boots. And I have a blind, burning aversion to beige footwear of any kind (except maybe sandals). I've been like this since I was a child. But I think the boots SJP is wearing, in that color, make sense because it's supposed to look retro and most things leather in the stores back then were brown and I remember this because I was a goth/punk kid who found it nearly impossible to find a purse I could afford in leather that wasn't brown or navy blue. I think the shirt with the shells also works with this, it's just not very practical, but then this character is not practical either. I would not be surprised if AJLT and Emily in Paris share a TV universe and we find out Carrie Bradshaw is Emily's aunt or meemaw or something.

You never know as they both have Darren Star listed as the creator.

I think those granny pieces look wonderful when the rest of the outfit is modern, it brings a nice twist to it. Or maybe I'm just too hipster. But even my goth self would wear that coat with a black dress. I think here it's pieced with too many granny pieces and it makes her look old instead of trendy. But it's still a nice coat. And I still think SJP looks good
