^^^ OMG, that's beautiful! It reminds me of the Seven Couloured-Earths in Mauritius. Profuse apologies for hijacking the thread, but this is what they look like. Although not as expansive, or as stunning, as the Peruvian Hills!  |

I was reading about Vinicunca, and it was only discovered recently (due to ice melt), and the Peruvian government had to rush to protect it since a mining company already owned rights to the area. It looked like the mining company was pretty willing to give it up (for compensation) based on how important it could be to tourism. |
