I'm guessing that he couldn't get Heelaarria unclenched from his baby making equipment long enough to go and visit her in the hospital.

I just thought that if he had called her and said that he couldn't fly or facetimed or something she might not have had felt the need to get that dig in. I think I just enjoy the idea of Alec being infuriated lol. |

He forgets to mention her a lot when talking about his kids - not sure if it's just dementia from his age, but it seems to happen regularly.
